i reckon theres a difference between "your a **** mate" and someone laughing about a dodgy looking shot. The first one is a feral sledge, or BOGAN SLOGAN as i like to call them and the second just trying to put some doubt in the batters mind, otherwise known as subliminal psychology.

i do love a good sledge, so thanks for the vote of confidence boys!!
i dont really get sledged that much myself, maybe cos they know i will kknock their heads off later, but i remember wingfield were nasty, as too were north pines in the old independant central. you church boys are way too nice!!

the most susceptible to sledge is cuz - sorry mate. he crumbles.

best sledger - we had a keeper called HACK. he yapped non stop, would talk to the batter right up to the stumps (he even kept up to the stumps to me in my hayday!). he would also sledge while batting..his classic line off a cover drive was "yep....take 2 off the spastic". gold.

Id forgotten all about Hack. Just had a little giggle to myself remembering all the things he used to say. Funny stuff. Was a good bloke too, just loved a battle.

Your not wrong about Wingfield. The fight between Powelly and the brothers. The mankad off the last ball to win a game. Every time you played them wasa an experience. Those blokes couldnt shut up. All bogan slogan stuff.
Woodville Districts could get pretty feral too. It makes our current competition look like a churches comp.

Training for the last round of CUSA Cup, played on 1/2/09 at Mitchell Park Oval against Adelaide & Suburban will be on Monday 19/1/09 and Monday 26/1/09 (Public Holiday) at Para Vista's training facilities, the Good Shepherd Lutheran Primary School on Montague Rd, commencing at 5:30pm. The side will be announced after training on 26/1/09.

Please take this back to your Clubs guys, as the next delegate's meeting is on 19/1/09 - when we'll be training.. Open invitation to ALL Clubs.

Any queries about any of the above, or indeed if there are any queries or feedback about our representative cricket in CCC&A, please contact either coaches : Mark Weinert (Wino) on 0437718576, or Scott Morris (Scooter) on 0403761983.

BB, not sure whether we can tee up a cortisone shot mate, but Aistrope is a qualified paramedic, so we'll make sure he is on-hand to administer any emergency treatment that may be required.. ;)

Training on a public holiday on the 26th Jan, there is also a day/night match at Adelaide Oval - Aus V South Africa! dont see too many if any numbers turning up to that training.

Quite possibly, but it's there because it's the last chance to train before the CUSA Cup match. Can't control the calendar.. ;)

The evidence is not pretty BB. Loose shot but nothing that cannot be rectified in the nets under the guidance of autowicky.
