Shoe Boy you may wish to speak to your secretary about the new infromation that has come out from the SCA as I would hate for to get on here and say that you have not been informed.

Also how did the 2 recruits go adjusting to hard wicket having come from playing on turf and are they around for the rest of the year??

Stingrays had a bye, so both should be back at Bice next week.

Thanks Hound I will follow that up as I would hate to be illinformed.

As for recruits?? we didnt have any but if you meen the two lads that made themselves available as Southern Districts had a bye both went well and will play again this w/end and then both will go back to District cricket and continue to represent the Shoe and SCA. Both lads have played juniour cricket for the club and anytime they want to come home they will be welcomed with open arms but we would want to see them achive their goals and be the best they can be.

Spoke with them regarding the adjustment and both said it was more the bounce or lack of but other than that enjoyed playing with mates that they played juniours with. Would of been nice to have a few more play but holidays and other commitments stopped that.

Also great news that the lad from Seaford is ok,all the best and get well soon.

Look forward to seeing the Shoe's bounce back and no better side to play than the top side!
Should be a cracker of a game and a chance for the lads to redeem themselves after that paffetic effort of loosing 4 or 5 for about 5 last time they played. Bose the man to watch and still the best hitter of a ball I have seen in this comp will be the player with bat and ball the lads must sort out but I believe the lads will come out on top. :-s

Who do everyone else play???
Also great to hear that the lads are finally getting together Sun for a training run for Myer shield and lets hope most make themselves available. On that who would captain the side??? I would say that Bose would make a good choice but doesnt make him self available? so for me go for a lad that will be around for a long time that plays the game in the right spirit and wants to be play association cricket Jimmy Edwards. :-bd

Is there a new captain for Association side??, I wouldn't of thought that they part with T-Bahr. His he not playing Myer Shield this year??

No Trav has made himself available as he always does and yes he will be playing if selected. As for captain he is not getting any younger and as he has done this year with handing the rains to Jimmy it would seem a good transition for the Myer side also. Maybe a Shoe double Jimmy captain Trav vice?

OH! as much as I respect Rhys as a cricketer a captain I think not.

Whenever you play Seaford there apears to be captains everywhere Roger/Dwayne/Bubner and it goes on. sorry but just my opinion. :-s
