John Connelly from Port Bulldogs in Pt Pirie, not only did he play in the 1951 flag, he was vice captain in the 56 flag, then went on to captian/coached the 58-60 and 61 premeirships for the side, with 61 being the first year of the SGL consisting of Pt. Pirie, Pt. Augusta and whyalla. By all account one of the best plaeyrs, coaches and alround blokes of country footy.

Kersbrook very lucky to secure the services of Brett James for his 3rd season in 2009. Wouldn't think there are too many current country coaches with his resume.

Gary Peach took Tailem to a Premiership in his first year of coaching Tailem in 92. Also won premierships in 95,96 and 97. One of the best coaches i have ever played under. Got the best out of players.

Reckon past Hills Football League coach Warren 'Sherg' Foster would rank up there ... a former South Adelaide league player, 'Sherg' coached Heathfield Aldgate United to five flags in his six seasons at the club.
He took HAU into the grand final in his first season as captain-coach in 1970, then won the A-grade flag in 71, 72, 73 and 74. In 1975, the coached at junior level with West Torrens, then returned to United to claim the 1976 pennant, before a move to Sydney ended his reign. He ranks with Richard Hill as a five-time A-grade premiership coach in HFL ranks. Foster also coached the HFL to its first ever carnival victory in the Southern Districts Lovelock Shield competition in 1973.
