Young Paech would be leading our best and fairest from Steve F and Matt L.
Thanks for the kind words in regards to our perfomance on Saturday it was a little better and the feeling around the club is on the improve from previous weeks. Even though Searle and Whillas are getting on I still think the younger ones play better with them around.
However our supporter numbers seemed to have dropped off both at matches and at the clubrooms for awards, the reserves forfieting for the rest of the season has something to do with that. They play an important part ion the social side of things.
I still see the recruiting over summer as the major factor in our survival, we need players and good club people. Who would be the person to contact about this bunch of senior players that may be interested in helping us out this year. Troy Hull's name has been thrown around. Is he the one to contact? after the season and letter of course!

Brodie Murphy is an interesting one.....would have to have got the 3 votes against us (9gls) and again on Saturday.... how was his early season form when he was up the ground further wcp? He could possibly be on 10 - 12 votes. We dont hear enough about the peckers but gee Weso would have clocked up a few km's over the last 6 games I know that.

Just had a look at B Murphys form guide and it is like this... (MR's best players from the times)
Round 1. 6th best
2. -
3. 2nd best (team lost)
4. 2nd best
5. 4th
6. 5th
7. -
8. -
9. -
10. 3rd best (9 goals tho)
11. n/a
12. BOG

He played a real good one against Mallee's in round 1 when we belted them. Would catch the eye with his overhead marking and really was our link man out on the wing early in the year when he seemed to be by himself a lot and could take a couple of bounces. On reflection, he's probably got 9 or 10 votes, definitely factor him in!!

I think you've definitely missed a couple of hangovers there......

How does everyone think the final four will finish up for both grades. Give me your predictions

League

Rangers 27
Demons 22
Peckers 19 (even if they beat Rangers will still fall a game short of making second)
Souths 12 (have tipped them to win the decider with Tasmans)

Reserves

Rangers 24 (with a big % really only need one more win to claim top 2 finish, 2 out of 3 for minor honours)
Tasmans 22 (last game of year against Waybacks decides who gets second but Tasmans have the % so get the nod for now)
Demons 18 (need to beat Rangers and Tasmans to get up to second)
Peckers 18 (currently rate as Rangers biggest threat to flag)

You are the first poster to come on here panther and state categorically that the roosters play with themselves..... (has subsequently altered the post but we know what he meant)

Pretty spot on with the ladder except that daylight should be second in the A's.

In the ressies, don't discount the demons...honestly think that the magoos comp is wide open. Biggest problem for mallees will be that it looks like both teams will play in the 1st semi...might stretch them a bit thin on the day.

I am assuming the Dee's will still be a touch light on with injuries this week which affects the B grade side put on the park. Taking this into account we 'should' be too strong this week which will keep Waybacks out of the top 2 unless they thump Tasmans to get back the 2% they are behind (unlikely!!).

The first semi between Mallee's and Waybacks will be a great game, the winner has the potential to go all the way while the loser will feel a season was wasted. The names Coulthard, R Jones, A Smith, D Males & R Miller make the Peckers a major threat in my opinion. You are however correct in stating the two's is wide open, the sides can change considerably in the six weeks we have to go until the last Saturday. I think the chances of Scott Charman playing in our two's are firming, he doesn't want to come back when Port finish (their two's are dead last, no finals) and knock out someone who has been their all year (if selected) but he'd happily play two's. With our young, pacy midfield his first use would help no end.

Peckers were the best side going around in the magoos at the end of the year last season and are still smarting about loosing to MR in the prelim. Anything can happen in these 15 min games with some games never really 'opening up'. Waybacks would need to get a few back as it looks a race in two for mine (MR and MP), I believe Mallees are a chance to get the double chance in the Bs..... although Tasies could stack the Bs in the last game when they play Waybacks and kill that.

We are still smarting about losing to MP in the 1st semi last year.....We still lead by 8 points at 3/4qtr time and then had a bit of a brain fade by one of our better players in the last term which cost us a bit..seriously thought we could have won the flag if we got over them.
MP are playing good footy in the B's at the moment but can be bought undone as they are fairly predictable when going forward as they look for Jack everytime. Their half forward line all run forward of the ball and wont chase the oppositions half back line if they take a chance to run forward. They were lucky to beat us 2 weeks ago.....

agree AG that Tassies magos side in RD 15 will be interesting....

Mallee's run home - LS, MR & B - will win two, need to beat us to have a chance at 2nd
Tasmans - B, LS & W - will win first two, only need to beat Waybacks to keep 2nd
Waybacks - MR, B & T - poor % leaves them needing to win all 3
Rangers - W, MP & LS - will be in top 2 with at worst one win against LS but good %

In summary, only one of W & T can finish on 22 (win all 3 remaining) as they play each other last round. Mallee's could win all 3 but will finish on 20 pts, possibly same as Rangers (at worst) but our % will see us through. Mallee's need to win all 3 and rely on Tasmans losing to Waybacks or Waybacks not winning all of their last 3. Too much needs to go right for the Peckers I think!!

It would be good if we could help shape the 4 a bit, but numbers have dropped of cosiderably with no chance of finals action.... anyone could get a game this week.
The GM is fishing for someone to put on a keg for him to 'fix' a result in the Bs... but the only way we can affect anything is by winning (not lying down) which unfortunatly wont happen.
Could the B grade competition see teams lying down in that last round.... like happened last year with MR???.

U/17s comp is interesting now too, can anyone beat Mallees? looks even behind them?

The scoreboard is working at home.
It has the current time with 'Welcome to Ravendale' 'Meals from 6.30' on it.
great advertising and a great feature that will be a showcase for the next 50 years.

On second thoughts- Is the u21 award still voted by the umps? Wes is on 16 votes, only 1 in front of Paechy. u21 voting usually a good guide to the MM (eg- 2003 & 2005). If someone comfortably wins the u21 award they are a good bet. Given the closeness of u21 voting its unlikely an u21 would be ahead in MM voting at the moment?
