Western Australian batting all rounder reminds a little of Lance Klusner his a big unit and hits a very very very heavy ball, a handy medium pacer bowls around the low 130's, and a very safe catch.

Well you can rule out being the first left-handed New South Welshman to open for Australia.

That is not first class cricket. He is yet to play first class cricket for NSW or anyone for that matter.

Correct me if I am wrong, but you're saying that Warner is the first cricketer to play for Australia in any form of the game (Test, ODI, T20), who hasn't yet played a first class match?

That would be my guess as well. I don't think that it would've happened ever before.

Finally someone on the same page! Thanks CoverKing, much appreciated! It just doesn't make any sense that a bloke can be the best ODI bowler in the world, and not be ANY use in Test Cricket. Especially considering the current state of our attack. Granted, different games, strategies, etc. but the basics are still the same. While I'm normally the last one to want another New South Welshman in the side, I make an exception in his case. I'm sure if he was a Redback, we'd all be screaming blue bloody murder!!!! Like this! Im sorry to say hearts on Fire but Haydos has done his dash mate and should spend the rest of his playing days with Qld.
No doubt he's been a very influencial player of the last decade or so, but i really cant see him making any impact considering we have tours of Sth Africa and the Ashes tour coming up in 09.
I also considier that he's alreay had several times throughout his career that he has been dropped on form at his age now i cant see him regaing his best form.
I think the best thing that Australia could do was drop him and replace him with a younger opening batsmen who they are looking to take to Sth Africa and England. eg: hughes NSW

I suspect some of the reasoning to why the selectors continually overlook Bracken might be his attitude. He's not as bad as Hodge but he made a bit of a petulant performance on Inside Cricket earlier in the season.

and what about when they decided to choose johnson two years ago in the test side ahead of him?what did he do wrong then?
altho i think bracken should be in the test side, it is a fact the the depth of australian cricket for years has been so strong that players miss out that would walk into other test sides (hodge, siddons, bracken, north,d.hussey, lehmann (woulda played alot more if not in australia)...its the beauty of australian cricket IMO

There's a lot of negativity from the public surrounding Tait, not just regarding his fitness and "emotional state" but his misdirected deliveries as well. People forget how much ability he's got; should the bloke ever get himself right we've got ourselves a gamebreaking express bowler at least for T20s and ODIs. Fingers crossed it's this summer that we remember as the one where Tait put it all together.
