good luck to Rob Stutzer making his A grade debut tommorow for us.
Great servant of the club and one of the most feared footballers in the Bgrade competition. I just hope this doesn't effect our Bgrade too much who need to win to claim second spot.

Went and watched Tumby v Ramblers. Ramblers got a couple of two goal breaks at various stages of the first half and seemed to be playing in spurts, doing enough when they had to. Tumby got some sustained momentum going late in the third quarter and continued it right up till the 20 minute mark of the last term when they lead by 19 points. I and everyone else thought Tumby were home but a George Pedler inspired final 5 minutes saw Ramblers kick 4 goals to snatch victory. Ruley didn't play and Boxer shouldn't have, after he limped onto the ground to take his place. He tried to ring his brother to tell him not to bother coming becasue he was pulling out, but he was already there and when Skinny & I turned up next thing he was suiting up!! Tumby had 5 or 6 out as well and I don't think there will be much between these two or EU come finals.

Jay Shannon was brilliant all day, he's 16 years old and he's Tumby's go to man!! I haven't seen a 16 year old dominate senior footy like that since Eski came runner up in the PL Mail Medal as a 16 year old.

For 1 v 2 on a magnificent day I thought the crowd could have been a little better, was that a normal size crowd MB?

Whats the gossip from the games on the weekend?
Waybacks did enough to get over the line against us, always in control and the depth was the difference. Couple of reports from Ravendale ....but not players? anyone heard anything? Mallee Park didnt look interested in their match.... they need to get fired up if they want to do anything in the finals.... just going thru the motions....
How'd the punters club tip go btb?

Crowd was probably down a little wcp, but there was plenty watching the netball on the other side. Interesting game, a little frustrating that we lapsed in the final 5 minutes, but as you've pointed out we look forward to getting a few back in the next 2 weeks. Curtis probably won't play again until finals now - we missed him after 1/4 time Saturday. We get to watch Jay week in week out, he is a greatly talented kid, and almost looked a cut above others at times on Saturday with sure ball handling skills. A fantastic level headed kid who has the right attitude to make it to the top.

Only time I watched the netball was when I had my hand on it in the toilets looking out through that window, a fantastic set up and I congratulate all involved in designing the TBFC clubrooms :D

Individual booths with their own window would have been the only improvement needed to make it a truley first class facility - somewhere you could sit in comfort

Skinny did a fair job on dalton, and giving him best probably shows the respect that they have for TG. To be fair, other than whacking him in the 2nd qtr (dalton off with the blood rule) and a long running point just after that, he did little else of note for the day. Dalton has as much interest in playing footy at the moment as I have....even had to borrow a pair of boots on Saturday to play....

The 'reports' I assume you are talking about relate to umpiring decisions in the 2's that gifted a goal to the demons...I have one thing to say about that 'Bluey move on'.......would be more interested in talking about grub sensational snap goal in the last qtr. Grabbed the ball in the bottom pocket, hopped around 4 opponents and snapped from 35....memorable stuff indeed.

Punters club tips showed a profit on the day with $12 chance flying home for 4th and a $2.30 winner in the last at cheltenham....can't complain.

He'll be with us. Port are happy for him to be playing senior footy at home. They actually encourage it.

Then why have we only had Luke Harder for one game this year, he seems to be in Adelaide every week!!

Interesting round in PL this week, if Souths can upset Mallee's they will seal fourth spot one would think. Have Tassies improved again or were Mallee's happy to take the win with out over exerting? Form suggests that Souths and Tasmans will be even after this week with the winner of the round 14 clash booking 4th spot. Be keen to have another look at Waybacks this week, got the job done on Saturday but according to zoopoo Souths could have won it if they took their chances?

Tasmans with Ryan, Tonkin, Clements, Davey and co. had the height over the Peckers and played well. Reinke held Mooney well . Like LS they have depth problems. Mallees again it lookled like they scored to easy with the fast breaks, creating the loose man, over the top ect.... this is when they are hard to stop. They over finessed too much and looked disinterested and a change of attitude is needed.
The Clements v Wes B dual in the midfield was a good one. Stutz at 36y.o. in his first A grade game had some valuable touches and even kicked a goal. Mallees give you a chance by not manning up, they do get numbers back to the hot spot though... they mop up well.
LS could have up to 5 out from last game this week.

The reports will be heard tonight and have nothing to do with that decision. Ben Adams is involved.
My mistake then...bluey was very passionate after the game about the decision...letters going to the afl and plfl...believe that Demietriou will be video conferencing at the next committee meeting to discuss.
can you elaborate any further about the 'reports' thanks grub...or are you bound by journalistic integrity?

Yes the GM was of the opinion that the free should have been taken from the middle? He reckons the only way another free can be paid in the sqaure is if it is a reportable offence.... what about the time-delay in the decision.... and then the conference between the umps.... 3 minutes later...
Demietrio will hold a press conference today at 4pm explaining the rule properly so we all know it.
What was the crowd like at Centenary? Who got the bar takings there? Who gets the bar takings at Ravendale?
Tell us more on the incident btb.....which offiial... which player?

Centenary match was a BFC home game and they would have kept the bar receipts.....the bar takings at ravendale are retained by the RCC and then profits distributed to the stake holders at the end of the year. The short answer is 'no one'

run us thru that goal grub....how many hops was it 9 or 10?....Then ran straight off to the car and drove out of the ground.
