Took the kids to Adam Sandler's "Bedtime Stories"

We all enjoyed it, Sandlers was very good and toned down the dumb ass act to make it an enjoyable family movie.

Just got home from the movies, watched Yesman with Jim Carrey, he is one funny actor. A good movie had me laughing a fair bit! Look forward to watchin it again.

also agree that 21 is a real good move, along with bedtime stories, a different role by adam sandler but one he played really well

I'm a Jim Carrey fan so I thought it would be funny, I've never been so P!ssed off with a movie in my life.

Yeh I watched it a while back now and thought it was ok. Not great, just ok. It took me as one of those "he's dead, we can fiddle with the truth and no one will care" type movies.

It's been a while since I've seen it, and I can't recall why I thought that though.

Kaufman is still a pretty huge name in Hollywood, I wonder how far from the truth it was. I can't even rate it, it is the wierdest movie I've ever seen, I hated it but had to watch to see what would happen next, very clever.

Wouldn't neccesarily appeal to Carrey fans as it is a story about a real person (the late Kaufman) but I doubt it would have been too far from the truth 'cos it's not as though there was any dirt about him.

I saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Button last night.
I thought it was fantastic but maybe not everyone's cup of tea due to its length.
Some that have seen it have told me it was too long but I could have watched it for even longer.
IMHO it was almost a cross between Forrest Gump and the Shawshank Redemption.
A warning though, take the tissues.

And a packet of Twisties..... ;)

Although not new I watched Tropic Thunder and enjoyed that but the missus absolutely hated it. Then watched What happens in Vegas. It was pure crap....

Will be off to see Madagascar II with the kids, and also High School Musical III, so will post riveting reviews about that one

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

The title is almost as long as the film itself...

Clint Eastwood's two WWII flicks telling both sides of the story from the same battle...

Flags of Our Fathers

Letters from Iwo Jima

The latter is one of the few films I've seen that doesn't portray the Japanese as one-note evil barbarians straight from casting central.

And it's the better film...
