Smoking ??

When I was growing up these people in my life smoked:
My mum, dad, step dad, grandfather, grandmother, uncle...
Actually now I've started this list I think everyone I knew as an adult smoked

However 30 years later there doesn't seem to be that many people around me who do smoke.

So was just interested at what percentage of people on here smoke

Do you think there are less and less people in society smoking ??

I have never smoked

Couldn't stand the smoke in my house growing up.
Then became Athsmatic when I was 12, smoke being one of the main causes for an attack

Stopped for 4 years and started again 2 years ago
I used to sell smokes at school and make a fortune....plus get belted by the Headmaster

Don't smoke, but do occasionally when I'm pissed although it would be a good couple of months since i did last.

cant stand it. never have and never will.

my mum chain smoked. and just washing the ash-trays everynight for 12 or so years turned me off plenty to never wana light up!

Whole family smoked, with the exception of greatgranny, and those that are still around still do.

After about 25 years as a smoker I stopped 5 years ago...not because of pressure from anyone else but just because I wanted to and was ready to stop so it was quite easy. Living on my own and having mate who don't smoke helped a lot to keep temptation at bay although I did occasionally stalk smokers in town for a bit of passive smoke and even now I sometimes get cravings for one but thankfully it's too damned expensive to ever start again.

Mum used to, for about 16 years, until she would end up only smoking half a cig at a time because she felt ill from doing so. This was when I was about 3 by the way, so I can't remember it. Very occasionally she does get cravings still; quite peculiar really, just all of a sudden even after so many years of not smoking it just happens.
