Eagles Incentive Club

Postby Sojourner » Sat Jan 03, 2009 5:59 pm

I thought this was an interesting idea which has been put up on the website of the Woodville-West Torrens Footy Club, Members commit to a donation of a set amount for the club winning in the underneath categories and are sent an account for what they have pledged for the season. I dont know if this is the first time that the Eagles have done this or if other SANFL sides have this plan, yet it would be interesting to see if it is supported and how the funds are then used!

J H Ellers created the Tigers Incentive Club (TIC) in the 1970s

This years membership form included a form to pledge for home and away wins, a premiership win or simply a donation towards the redevelopment of the Glenelg Oval.

In other words Glenelg have had a Incentive club for years.

<edit> however over the last few years the original TIC has been relatively inactive. It is only in recent times that it has got up and going again
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Our incentive club has been a part of the options for members /supporters for some years.
For those folk who dont have the capability $ wise to be a sponsor this is a way they can contribute a little or even a lot as well as take out memebership.
