Lofty haven't started pre-season yet so the players on here might not even know whats going on in regards to recruits.

Haven't Lofty started Pre Season before Christmas the past 3 years? Why change now?

Only started pre season in november in 05/06. Since then been starting in first week of Jan.

Maybe that's why Bridgewater struggle they start training to early and are burnt out by the time the season starts.

Hey Ballhog, heard a rumour that both Feijens will be back at Bridgewater in 09, maybe taking on senior 'B' grade positions. Would that mean Meadows has less appeal for you?

Surely you dont mean "playing" B grade Howard... what a waste, both would be in the Raiders Top 10 A grade players easily...

It's a done deal I'm looking forward to starting at a new club I'm actually looking forward to playing football again. The last couple of years have been my worst two years had lost all desire to play, you can only take so much of being uncompetitive. As for the Feijens they are still undecided. As for 2 old 2 slow I don't think they want to play A grade football anymore in Central Div, even though they are good enough still.

Will you blokes stop going on and on and on and on and on and on about the Raiders! Face facts unless you have bought 21 top level players you are going to finish closer to the wooden spoon than the premiership. Answer this, who from last seasons Bridgewater would have made Mt Lofty's Grand Final side?

I think it would be super if both Feijin's ( not sure on spelling ) played two's at Bridgy - of course if they wanted to play higher they should.
What i am trying to say is that if you want to get a club back up and running its not just about A grade competitiveness but the whole club. A strong B grade is important in achieving this. Throw a couple other old stalwarts who can still play in and a few of the young blokes coming up from colts who knows maybe sneak into the 5.
The first year of the coco reign at Lofty it was the B grade who won the flag and the A's finished 5th. That was a great launching pad for Mt.Lofty.
I hope for the good of the comp. Bridgy get up and running in the next few years, along with Loby and Birdwood. Someone always runs last but if all clubs can have at least 1 side playing finals and we don't see massive blow outs especially in A grade i think the Hills League would be the envy of most in the state.
Its time to lay off Bridgy and give them the summer to go about improving their club, so if you don't play there or even in the Hills League maybe focus on your upcoming season.
My advice to the Bridgy blokes don't get caught up in a sledging match about past seasons, promote your club positively and work to make your club more competitve because some of us can still remember when Bridgewater were a top 3 side.

I'd also love to see Bridgy attract some 'expereinced old heads' to supplement their B Grade team. The new B Grade Coach is a good operator. His involvement with Bridgy has previously been limited to coaching his son's junior team, although he's had senior coaching experience in the SAAFL. Believe me, the team will be disciplined and playing to a game plan. The Feijen Brothers will enjoy his no-nonsense style if they sign. This guy will also be a great help to Luke Gane who will be the A-grade playing coach (never easy)

I have many fond memories of playing against a strong Bridgy team. In fact, I always enjoyed the oval, with the crowd on the northern side watching over the players. Ok, maybe I didn't quite so enjoy the fwd pocket next to the beer shed !!

I have some good Bridgy mates, who all seem more positive about the fortunes of the Club than they have been at anytime in the past decade. New coaches, new players, new officials - it will be interesting to watch them in the next 2-3 years.

New to this forum but have been keeping a close eye on whats going on. Any club picking up the quality of guys like Hahndorf would want to be more competitive than past history. It is going to be hard for Bartermucci to play in black and white after being a Norwood boy for all his senior days but think he will have a big impact to the comp. Watching SANFL this year have seen him getting run with roles but he is at his most dangerous when he just goes and gets the footy. Good footballer, quick and noted goalkicker at league leavel who is also a good quality guy. Know alot of clubs in any league wouldn't mind someone like him with his experience to suit up for them thats for sure.

Mad Harry with what you have achieved in your football career I'm not going to argue. You are a good judge of character and can certainly pick a good footballer when you see one.
