Holiday Fuel Prices

Postby Ian » Mon Dec 29, 2008 8:14 am

We left Adelaide boxing day,

as we were driving out fuel in Adelaide was priced between 112.9 & 113.9 cents/l

Snowtown/Redhill, both 103.9 cents/l

27th drove home

Filled up at Gladstone, 103.9 cents/l,

the price didn't vary much from this 'till we hit suburbia, then it was back over 110 cents/l

Speaking to one country outlet, he said if peolple in Adelaide had paid more than 102.9 cents/l, leading up to, and over the xmas break then they were being ripped off blind, most place in Adelaide were charging at least 10 c/l more than that

Not shocked, but other times it's been inflated in Adelaide, it has also been inflated in the country, perhaps no one really gives a shit so they'll just keep charging us what they like.

Send your observed evidence to the ACCC - they keep saying they can't find any.
Marking it as CC you local federal MP may help.
If enough people do it it has a cumulative effect..

If you can, try to find a reason to have to travel on O.G Road at Klemzig and call in at the United Servo or the Coles across the road to fill up. Fuel Watch reguarly has the United Servo as the cheapest petrol in Adelaide and the Coles Shell Garage across the road is often cheaper with your docket. Tuesday naturally being the best day!
