for me it would have been RR, at least if he got a start he would go on with it ;)

and Siddle, even I would get runs against him at 50 (now watch him take 5 for)

Siddle has surprised those who didn't see him bowling for Victoria last season. He was so impressive and bowled with aggression and pace just like he did today. The guy can play and well done to the selectors for showing faith in him.

And to Ponting for showing the confidence to give him the new ball which i am certain played a big part in him bowling so well and with the pace that comes with confidence.

I have to admit Siddle has left a little bit of egg on my face. I've followed him with Victoria, saw him in that Shield final, his debut Test in India and the first Test of this series and never at any stage did I consider him a Test bowler. If he keeps bowling like he did today we've got our replacement for Lee right there.

Well, I remember watching Glenn McGrath bowling in his first test and thinking that this medium-fast bowler with no sideways movement wasn't up to it

I also thought Greg Campbell looked like a good thing

We are always too quick to call it - either way. We want them to be either champs or chumps, when most of them are in the middle somewhere.
