Yeah Smith looking very settled, and the trouble with de Villiers is he gives a lot of chances in his first few overs and then pretty much nothing. Need a magic ball.

He is a wonderful player and a great leader. Might come across as arrogant and smug at times but he knows how to lead from the front and take the pressure off his team. Wish he was Australian.

Think he is also a lot better leader than the last time we played them, his mouth got him into trouble last time with some stupid statements, this time it has been all positives and he is leading from the front with the bat

AB looks in all sorts but the real positive is he's hogging all the deliveries - Smith might go a tad cold and offer a chance...please?

I can see De Villiers getting a big score here, he looks so much out of it but not nicking anything

He's annoying like that. Nearly every time I've seen him he looks like he's going to fall early but all of a sudden he tightens things up and becomes almost unremovable.

well bowled Siddle and another good bowling change by Ponting :D . A real chance to get stuck into the lower order and tail now. Siddle has bowled very well so far i think the confidence of getting the new ball has done him wonders, i have been very impressed by his pace he has been very quick.

Hauritz has played a huge part here, he is bowling superbly and has locked up one end, as for Siddle, so far he has produced in this test by bowling a great line and length 7 over 2/14 says it all and bowling around 150km/h

This is how he bowled for Victoria last year and is why he has been given the opportunities he has. Glad to see he has the confidence to bowl at his best in Test cricket.

It has been said that with continued conditioning Siddle should get it up over 155kmph. In any event the selectors love the bloke and the faith they've shown has clearly given him some confidence.

Also locky that's an excellent point - Haury's pressure has been just what the doctor ordered. Happy to admit I was wrong re: not dropping Krejza on what we've seen so far.

When they have the Baggy green on they are all just Australians to me   ;)

You are right about Hauritz by the way. He has bowled exceptionally well. He's done what i never thought he would be capable of to be honest. Great spell of off spin bowling.

Perhaps it is the chance he needed RR and the best thing about his bowling is that he is making them play just about every ball
