Symonds needs to get a big score in the 2nd Innings. He doesn't go on with it often enough, gets to 25-50 then gets out.

Think the commentators are being a tad generous saying Aust will make 320+,with the new ball we could be bundles out for under 300 if someone does get out now

That is why it's very important that these two are still there at stumps. Don't want to expose the tailenders to the new ball at this period of the match.

Haddin is looking good so far.

Everyone who's bagging Symonds needs to take into account he averages pretty much the same as Mark Waugh. Seriously he does what is asked of him more often than not. How many changes do you all want? Lets just drop anyone who doesn't make a hundred or take 5 wickets in any given match

Haddin out. Yet again we lose a wicket just before a break. It has happened almost every time this series.

The guy has the potential to blast an attack apart, but in 3 innings in this series he has been well on top and then played stupid shots, but that is the nature of the guy, he gets away with silly shots and gets a ton we all love him, he doesnt we have a go,l he would be one of the 1st picked in my side but hell if i had hair it would fall out watching him throw a 100 away as he so readily does. He wont get dropped and neither will a couple of others and that is where Aust cricket will start to go backwards quicker than it is right now. We have had a great couple of decades up top but you cant stay up top forever unless you are the CDFC

Thus the problem, lots of starts, only one gets a ton, thats what cost Aust in Perth and thats what will make me a hell of alot of money on this series :D

Yeah you are right there, we need more blokes to go on with it... and Punter's ton did have a lot of luck after that dropped catch. I wish Symonds had gone on with it, he was looking good but then a poor shot and he's out.

Oh and Aussie cricket has been at the top longer than CDFC.. just. :p

Pretty even I guess but I'd almost have it South Africa's way just because we struggled to get them out in Perth.

Clarke didn't have his best day at the crease but he's still there, tomorrow is a big day in his career I feel. If he can go on with this it will be one of the better knocks in his career. Our tail can wag so we can get around 350ish.

I agree that it's frustrating watching him get out the way he does at times but you can't drop him for the way he gets out. You can't drop the guy because he has the potential to make more runs than he does if despite that he is still making more runs than the next best option would. Roy is a very much needed player in the Australian side in all forms of the game and it's time those who don't agree get over it. FFS no-one will get stuck into Hussey (and nor should they) and what's he done lately?

6/280 at stumps

Aussies battled hard all day few got set and then threw it away

Need the tail to stand up in the 1st session tomorrow and hopefully Clarke will find his timing and placement. Anything under 400 will put the RSA in a good position.

After day 1 it's 50/50

I have a problem with him if he as he is in this test playng as a batsmen. Since thats the case then christ play David Hussey for Klinger or someone like that.

Also I was a bit dissapointed that The HiLf didnt get selected. I think he would get plenty of swing for this test.
