India 4/262.

Need 125 with 51 overs remaining.

With Tendulkar (51) and Yuvraj Singh (19) in it should be straighforward.
Get these two out though and England can really turn the screws.

most of the time MOM comes from the winning side, but how could Sehwag get MOM with scores of 9 and 87 when Strauss albeit in a losing side got 123 and 108

Agreed, Strauss without doubt the best performed player in the match. You could argue about how influential the knock of Sewag's was but without Strauss there would have been a very low chase for the Indians and the game wouldn't have lasted 5 days.

WTF Sehwag gets mom for making 96 in two digs and Strauss does one of the rarest things in test cricket by making a century in each innings, albeit in a losing side, and doesn't get mom that is a disgrace. Who in their right mind could've given it to Sehwag ahead of Tendulkar let alone Strauss

Sewag's innings made it possible for India to chase that target. That is why he'd get it ahead of Tendulkar. Having said that i agree Strauss is clearly MOTM in this case.

One thing that stands out when looking at the scorecard for this match

England
1st Inn - 316 (2.45 RPO)
2nd Inn - 9d/311 (2.93 RPO)

India
1st Inn - 241 (3.45 RPO)
2nd Inn - 4/387 (3.92 RPO)

Prior was the only English batsmen to have a SR of more than 50 for the match.

I understand what Sehwag did to set the chase up but still there were 387 to get and Tendulkar did all the hard work in staying there for a length of time and making a century IMO is still more important than Sehwags knock. How many overs did they have left in the game anyway?

no doubt at all that Strauss deserved man of the match, it is disgraceful, shows the dominance of India in world cricket, they cant even hand over an award for MOTM, a disgrace..
