i'm sure there will be plenty of healthy banter between Aldgate & the Goldings, should be an amusing day if the weather allows them to take to the field.

Mylor results...

A/4s lost to Happies in a low scoring affair.
A/3s lost to Meadows in an entertaining match.
A/2s rolled Gators for 90-odd - Fleet looks likely to make them on his own. Chainsaw and Wise in Gator Bs???

The great southern crayfish have continued there demolition of the hills competitions today with a 30 run win over Torrens Valley in the U21's comp. It was an even game, as players from both teams had rolled in at home at 4 in the morning the night before!!! Mclellands shoulders were gettin a bit sore from carrying the team last wk, so he decided to snick up in the second over and let the other lads hav a hit! poor decision!

Poor Form from Spud McClelland. Thought he'd get to that Sunday game with No Sleep!

Probably just as well he snicked one early for you blokes as he hit them pretty well the day before. If he'd managed to reach the boundary of the last ball against Gumeracha, would have notched his maiden Kersbrook 'A' grade ton.

How'd young Aufderhide bowl for TV. The Kid is only 17, and will be pretty scary in a few years time, very similar to a young Galvin that use to play for Woodside.

He was certainly the sharpest of the TV bowlers. Might have got a couple wickets, can't remember. No doubt has a couple good years ahead of him if he's only 17!

Will be interesting to see how Aufderhide goes at District Ranks if he gives it a shot. Has been earmarked for Meyer Shield and Fleurieu duties, while he might be a bit raw for that, will give him good experience for next season.

All 6 TVCA A Grade sides playing.
Divided into 2 groups of 3 teams. (Draw still to be finalised)
Playing the 2 other sides in the group of 3.
The top side from each group playing each other in final under lights for a trophy (name unknown).
TTG hope to make it an annual event.

First games to start at 10am - Final to start at 6:30pm

As for Scott Aufderheide - raw and slippery!!! will be interested to follow over the next couple of years, wherever he plays.

Cougar have you heard any news regarding the result of the "Collyer-gate" game at Palmer?

D.L.O. is on the money...

All looks good for a cracker of day on Saturday!!! :drinkers:
Hope the bar is open early - definitely a training session for the Willowfest Boys!!!
:partyman:

My tips for the trophies -
Winners: Woodside (they bat like its a 20/20 every week)
Runners Up: Kersbrook (always the bridesmaid... )
Highest Total: Palmer 220 (T Rathjen 219no and 1 wide)
Lowest Total: Paracombe 32 (used up all their shots already this season)
Best Bowling: A McDonald (always gets early wickets on turf in Mildura)
Player of the Carnival: S Pollock - Gumeracha (just ask him, he'll tell ya how good he is)

As for "Collyer-gate" D.L.O. - he hasn't been cleared from Kersbrook so they have nothing to worry about!!!!

I haven't heard anymore about the 'Colley-gate'. Outright points still Kersbrook's as far as I know. As mentioned before I could understand Palmer's protest if they didn't get beaten outright by an innings and 20 runs. But Collyer STILL hasn't been cleared from Kersbrook.

20-20 Comp will be interesting Saturday Big Ship
My tips
Winners: Kersbrook - They like short games of cricket :drinkers:
Runners Up: Woodside - They usually only last 20 overs in 2 day cricket
Most Runs: Nick 'Slim' Johns - He's due
Most Wickets: Steve Kavanagh
Player of the Carnival: Tyson Rathjen

Think this is how the 20/20 Torrens Valley Comp will work on Saturday

Game 1 Kick off at 10am

Kersbrook vs Palmer - Woodside vs Lobethal

Game 2

Kersbrook vs Gumeracha - Paracombe vs Lobethal

Game 3

Palmer vs Gumeracha - Paracombe vs Woodside

Final at 6:30 under lights.

Played with Tea Tree Gully Under 14s about 3 seasons ago. Looked a very handy player but then decided that he just wanted to play back in the hills. Hope he does give Grade cricket another go. He will be welcomed back at the bulls.
