Been pretty lucky with injuries. Worst was landing straight on my heel in a marking contest at training resulting in a bruised heel. Doesnt sound very bad but its extremely painful and it takes ages to get better because you have to walk on it. I was forced by my coach to take a week off (which nearly killed me). I played the following week at about half pace, turning circle of an aircraft carrier and about 3kgs of padding in my boot...played the next game and had to take 3 Advil at half time (not supplied by the club by the way) and couldnt feel my whole right leg after about 3 quarter time (somehow polled a vote for B&F)...took another 3 weeks to fully heal, but sometimes if it flares up just when im walking around.

We had a bloke in 2000 go down with what appeared to be a knee injury, only to find that he had done both knees in the one incident. He had to have them both reconstructed in the same operation. He had only just returned a year previosly from a Knee reco.

Well this year was a good one. Seperated the bottom 2 floating ribs from the cartilage at the front of my chest in about Round 12. Missed 3 weeks and came back for the last few rounds. Broke my little finger against Modbury in the 1st Final but in a different joint to the last time I broke it. Played the next week against TTG and broke 4 bones in my spine. So apart from winning a premiership and some other charity medal ;) I had a crap year.

This added to -
Broken ribs x 2
Broken hand x 1
Broken finger x 1
Knee cartilage tears x 2 (1 op)
Burst some fluid sac behind my kneecap resulting in one massive knee of fluid
Osteitis Pubis x 2
Torn groin off the bone x 1
Ankle ligaments x 1
Minor hamstring strains/tendonitis x 327
knocked out x 1 (including corked hip from the hit and damaged neck from landing on my head on the way down)

Cant wait for 2009 !!!

That's me now:

Only the main ones (broken noses and fingers dont count):

Broken both feet
Brokern collarbone - night of last minor round game and we were in the finals - fell off a wine barrel pissed
Ruptured achilles - 2000 at footy practice
3 slipped discs C2 - 4 from a collapsed rugby scrum
septicaemia from some bloke's tooth in my hand
No cartilage left in either knee - sounds like there's sand in there when I walk up stairs

It just clicked a lot - got it in the 2nd Semi and had to hide it from the Misses or she would have cut crook at me.

I would have had to sneak off to play but she was wising up to me saying I'm not playing and then doing it.

We had a lad in the B grade at Tanunda this year who copped an elbow to the eye. He broke his nose, cheek bone and eye socket, his eye was pushed back into his head. He was in extreme pain, it took the ambo's a good 3/4 hour to stabalise him in the changerooms before taking him to the local hospital, where they him sent off to the RAH for emergancy surgery. Somehow they managed to save his eye but it will never be the same again for the poor lad. I've seen some reall bad ones over the years (broken bones etc.) but this took the cake for pain and some dire consequences.
