Good post FS. I have to agree. Cossie will never be slim and trim but who cares. If he makes runs he should be picked. If not then he shouldn't be picked. Right now he probably isn't doing enough and it's a shame because IMHO he is probably the second most talented batsman in the state excluding Younis Khan. I can't wait to see him makes some scores and show how good he can be.

Exactly he isnt making runs and he doesnt deserve his spot ATM. if he can get his confidence back then you never know.

There is no better batsmen to watch when he treats the bowlers with distain and deposits them to all part of the oval.

he is a member at my Gym (not sure if he still ges), but the before & after shots are there to see.
More importantly, it shows he's prepared to put in the hard yards

Very exciting batsman to watch when in form, perhaps the shorter form of the game is where his future is at?

He desposited a ball on the train tracks at Salisbury Oval on Sunday in a T20 against University, a massive hit!

Really ?? I see alot of overweight people at the gym PR... doesn't mean they are doing 'extra' work....
I dont want to knock him simply because he isn't a beanpole because that isn't fair but if he was doing extra work and truly dedictaed wouldn't that be showing in his form on the field ??
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

not necessarily because the media/public is on his back about his perceived weight/fitness problems this creates a lot of pressure on the bloke and coupled with captaining his Grade club when Manou is away is clearly not helping him.

Manou is not the Jets captain this year, Cosgrove is. That pressure is always there, but I don't think that it is a big load on his shoulders, he does have some very good leadership skills and that part of the role is very natural to him.
