Has this been announced by the Kangaroos has it joker ?

No But he is still training with them and they do not have a pick in the pre season draft, and he would not be training now unless they told him he would be selected in the Rookie draft.

As mentioned on the other thread, ALL the AFL clubs have sometimes a dozen train on players they get to try out with them before the pre season draft. The Power had about 15 blokes at one stage so are they all going to get onto the list as a rookie ? I'm sure the Kangaroos have invited a few VFL players to train with them so until the draft itself, it is not official that Alan is NOT an in for Centrals. If he does come back, he will be a very handy recruit for them.

I was told over on the VFL forum that Centrals have signed former Tassie Devil player Justin Hardy.

Sounds pretty handy, a mobile key position player that can play ruck as well, sounds pretty good.

This was what was said about him on the VFL forum...

VFL forum wrote:Phil it's Justin Hardy, very well-built tall, played FF, FB and rucked for Tassie. From what I saw of him he's a beautiful kick for goal but had soft hands...i.e. didn't take a lot of marks he should have and just didn't quite do enough, but he's a great size, mobile and is something to work on. I wouldn't be surprised if he was rookied by someone, but yes he has signed with Central District.

Hopefully Roy Laird will officially mention a few other Doggies recruits (or "homecomings") when Centrals get their turn on RPH next Thursday night, very much looking forward to it.

Sounds ok, i do think we miss that Quinno Graham type player who can fill a role wherever needed. I know Havelberg could play that role but i would much rather see Havelberg settled into the one position and play a whole season there.

Phil, I previously queried Sibenaler's future. This recruiting doesn't change my mind.

Are you talking about his ability or whether he will play on or retire.

Yeah i agree i think Sibenaler is a bit suspect at Full back, really struggles with his acceleration and sometimes gets caught ball watching.

Honestly he has been so well supported by his fellow defenders at times it has made him look slightly better than he is. It was no surprise to see his form improve once Aufderheide came back into the side.

Personally i think Yves is perfectly suited to take the third tall forward.

I do agree with you there wuhfc, I think with Sibber, particuarly this year, with Schell out for a fair bit, plus Havelburg a lot was asked of him, with only Haysey to help out Sibber was the only real tall and had a lot on his shoulders.
Once Jezza came in it took the pressure off a bit and definately allowed him to concentrate on his man a bit more.
Wont hear a bad word about him from me,bloody great Bulldog through and through, with a more balanced backline in regards to tall defenders next year,I reckon Sibber will have a great year .
Cheers 8)

Yeah, that is his original club back in Port Pirie...

He has retired from SANFL football to spend more time with his wife and start a family. His wife is from down South so not sure they will relocate to Pirie for Noodles to play up there. He may just travel up on weekends if the coin is right and train locally ?

I heard that he was going to have a year off footy, but only time will tell...

Is there another option ???

D) - I'm friends with one of Noodles mates from Port Pirie and played softball with him (Noodles mate) and was talking to him the other day

Or option E) - Topsy is just wasting time posting crap like that :D
