Apparently the brainchild of Robery Oatey we were told this was the first match of its type so we had to concentrate on the skills not who won ha ha.
We were only able to kick drop kicks or drop punts and I remember taking two marks in front of goal and missed both because I could not spell drop punt let alone kick one ! In those days we kicked torpedoes or screwies as we called them.
