The point is he does not want to play with you lot. So why the hell would you not clear him to play with his mates! He has provided pretty good service to the Magpies over the years. He has not done the wrong thing, or broken club or team rules. He has been honest about the whole thing.

If you had more youth on your committee instead of has-been fossils you might be a little more forgiving. You probably cant remember back that far to put yourselves in his shoes.

Yeah your totally right mate its all about the age of our committee! Lets see Mallala last 2 years v hamley last 2 years. I know, lets inject some youth into our committee so that Moff can play at Hamley under his youthful committee. You idiot!

Lets compare. What if Jamie Lowe 2 years ago had come to your committee and said OK "young committee of HBFC" I want to leave here (a club where I am a local and my father is present (goal ump in lowe's case)) and play against you next season at Mallala? You cannot possibly tell me that you would clear him no questions asked!!!! So get real!

Well as a committee member. And the fact I respect Jamie Lowe, and hypothetically like Moff he had been thinking about making the move. I would say go ahead. I dont want players in my team or club... when their heart is not in it. And if they are a mate, I would try do the right thing. Yeah it would be tough, but these things happen.

But I can only speak for myself Swamp, not the rest of the committee. this is my opinion.

What recruits have Hamley Signed for next season , will Luke McCabe be playing at Hamley now he has retired from SANFL ?

you have to look at the situation as i whole, i have spoken to moffatt, and his position is he wants to go to hamley to coach and play alongside his mates, he looks at as an opportunity to take his football further (why would he go from the best team to the worst?) as far as his old man being the president, it has a bearing on the matter but not enough to make him want to stay. and comparing him to lowe is stupid, moffatt has only been in the league 4 years he has no other tie to mallala other than his old man and the fact that the ground is down the road from his parents place. not granting a clearance in this situation will only be bad for mallala as he told me that he will play in the amatuers if a clearnce to hamley doesnt come. the club knows his position and i think they may have worked something out??? only time will tell.
P.S. how can i get a copy of the pro-forma contract for interests sake?

Don't think Stan will be playing back at his old club, not next year anyway. It was mentioned in the Centrals Annual Report I recieved the other day that he will be an assistant coach to Roy Laird next season. He may play the odd game when not required for the Dogs but then he'll probably be too busy with his farm...

Its still early days so well hav to wait and c.

Faulkner and Serle hav signed and sealed the deal at Kadina for 2009 also.

They have not Enforcer. Geez you blokes spin some crap this time of year. Its great.

You may want to check ur facts swampy cause i hav it from a pretty good source that they both have signed. :)

Really..... funny that, so do I! His wife! So i think you better fire your source! They are considering it seriously but like was the case last year, they will both be working up in Roxby and will only play a handful if all goes to plan. However if Kadina pay them the big bucks then it may make it worth while flying back each week, and that would not surprise given the $$$ getting thrown around over there at the moment.

I think every bloke with the last name McCabe is nicknamed Stan, Ace after the great Stanley Joseph.

Spot on Donkey. He wont be cleared.

Other news: Balak chasing Oliver, Farley & Lamond. They may all sign at Broadview though. And D Tzacker may be heading to town. Time will tell. Broad has been linked to Gumeracha but in honesty he has been linked everywhere. Probably end up staying at Tigers I think, has some good mates there.

Yeah good rumours there Pinky. I think Farley and Lamond have signed with Colville, Leals at Broadview. Also rumour though.

Oliver would be massive for Balak as they need a tough dominant forward. Is he still kicking goals in Riverland?

Matty O played a handful of Ressies games for Waikerie last year after also being on contract but not wanting to play there. He played only the second half of the year i believe, while they had some bloke called Riccuito playing FF in the A's.

Will be a big plus to have Matt back, especially as he is classed as a local from his 5 previous years at the Peckers.

yes they are not happy as well, employment and the fact they travel from town as"locals" has a fair bit to do with it,one of them work for etsa and do a fair bit of travel with them and when a club dosnt understand this at times it makes it hard!!

Maid you are not involved with malalla now, really you just stir the pot, good clubs dont need that kind of stuff. as for the mont boys, champion fellas who love the club. they are very happy trust me about that. as for moffat. super season this year, interesting character and dare say loves reading this column. yeah you do moff. he gets along well with blokes, but assistant coach come on, that would be a little bit of a bizarre choice. perhaps though if he went on the footy trip with the boys might have been good way to really get no the boys.

just for the heads up the magpies, are a brilliant club, very well organised and very supporting to each player. as in moffat not needing to train every session

and on the flip my tip for the medal is christian rimmer, and the big improver of the comp dave pont. injury cut him short this year.

two wells to improve as long as they stick with there youth policy and gain little bit of experience.

just to get the point robert and brian are very happy at magpie land
