France would be happy to be in the same pool as the AB's so long as they can knock off Tonga etc, as it means if they progress they probably wont have to play them until the final
Pool B looks to be the closest and the Wallabies and the Springboks pools look relatively easy although some strange things have happened in past world cups

I reckon as well that most teams will have lost a fair few old hands by then too...lots of new blood making their RWC debut's could make things a little bit more unpredictable.

Thank god it doesn't clash with my proposed visit in May 2011...imagine my delight at being the only Ireland fan in Oz  ;) and if the guy on 5aa earlier gets his way and can get one of the big teams to Adelaide for their training base no doubt accompanied by a legion of supporters what fun trying to find a room at the inn.

Bring it on...love the RWC :D

I'm very keen to get to Wellington for that Bledisloe too gdb and I can't wait for RWC 2011 - we're going to the homeland for three months.

JAS - thanks for the congrats. Doesn't quite make up for one missed forward pass decision and 14 penalties, but it's close!!! 8)

we are all really looking forward to Wellington in 09 as the last couple of years has been Auckland and we now know where all the good pubs are in Auckland, which is not such a bad thing :D but a change of scenery would be good

Well I can tell you, you will love the MK birth city of Wellington. They have more of a bar scene there and some of the bars are really cool. It's mountainous however so better have good grips on those beer shoes. And hopefully the world won't move for us.

JAS - did I read correctly and you're here in 2011? :ymparty:

Yep...hopefully...had hoped to have saved up enough for a trip in about 18 months but being realistic after all this credit crunch carp it's probably going to take a bit longer so an obvious plan is to celebrate my 50th at a Legs game...be a hell of a lot better than a beer in one of the pubs here or (god forbid) having to spend it with relatives.

The current plan will be Adelaide for at least a couple of weeks around 2nd May 2011 :D although the date is flexible, never been the sort that must celebrate on the day itself...and yep, there's definitely a couple of beers on the bar for the MK's ;)
