A friend picked up our tickets last week around $60ish plus whatever fee they tack on. I'm really looking forward to it. The gates open at 6pm, first show 7.30pm. Not sure how easy it will be to get drinks Mr B as I haven't been to one of these shows before?

Well, must put in apologies to those whom I suggested I'd catch up with at this event.
I'm devastated I can't go but after a big couple of days in Melbourne last week, plus a speeding ticket, I can't afford to go.
A trip to Adelaide becomes quite expensive, even if you do have free tickets to the show.

Anyone want to ring me during Mind's Sedate so I can hear it live again? lol
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

I have driven past the venue a few times and it looks pretty well laid out. Like most shows a 15 minute line up is expected and any thing less is a bonus, anything longer and it is a Big Day Out. ;)

Well, firstly in a venue made for about 3000 (comfortably) I think the crowd must have been about 1500 or so.

Perfect night for Junior Boon (12) and his mate to come along to an open air gig.Of course the Guitar Hero tent was the first port of call for those two who claimed there hat and Mrs.Boon and myself had the Vodka/Beer entree before a decent pizza ( they should get sold at every venue, good quality).

Anyway,Magic Dirt were good as I have seen them but at a BDO I dont recall alot, would like to see them again.Played for about 30 minutes.

Shihad front man goes off,and as we were only about 10 metres from the stage had a great spot with no 'mosh' issues for the kids and they were close enough to live it up.Played for about 30 minutes.

Grinspoon ( or,as the Yankee announcer called them Grinspan @ Albert Park {wanker} ) came out hard with a good list for the first 3 or 4 tunes, but, sadly they only played for about 40 minutes. Phil up front looking a little 'Pale',perhaps the sponsors product had taken its toll.....Junior Boon and his mate got a shoulder ride from some random pissed dude and both had smiles ear to ear!

All in all a bit short, but comfortable crowd and nice venue.

Geez, they are fairly short sets. Sounds like they got a less than expected turnout, must've been a fairly tame crowd for their to be little moshing going on. Still would've been ace to sit back with a few beers and watch it all though.

Shihad BOG for mine. Or should I say Sharheed? The announcer guy copped a bit of sh!t for that.
Great night, just what I'd hope it to be. Nice and relaxed, people crusing around enjoying. Grinspoon were very good I thought, a lot better than I thought they would be and played some of their old stuff which helped.
The girl from Magic Dirt still punches it out* with a great voice and the front man from Shihad really gets the crowd going.
Very glad we went. Mr MK had too much beer.
