Would have made plenty of runs if the Kat ran when it's Haydos' call.

Not that I'm not over it or anything ;)

There is no doubt that Hughes is a fine cricketer. Perhaps he deserves his chance now, maybe its a bit early for him. I dont know, but I would definitly not like to be blooding any players now against the up coming South African attack. I do believe they should take him to england for experiance.

Where would he bat, well he looks like a born opener to me. When Hayden retires and that might be before england, then rogers or klinger should come in. We will need experianced openers for that tour without a doubt. They have made the runs and deserve the chance. I do believe Hughes will make his debut in the near future. We should start to give Hughes the chance perhaps in one dayers.

Also there is the option of bringing in Hughes as a number 5 or 6 before he starts to open. Perhaps thats the way to go.

Why do you say that?

Similar age, probably both as good as each other, BUT Langer has more experience......

Rogers as good as Langer? You've been huffing Benny's stash.

Corey Knight was telling me about a kid named hughes when he played in the 17's carnival and how he is an absolute star. I think he may have made a 150 against them a few years ago now?

Making runs on a dodgy deck is a very good way to get the selectors attention.

yeah and no doubt he will get to play on many similar wickets when he gets to have a crack in england, hopefully he can score many runs on those type of decks and the ashes will be safe for the next 15 years!

Knowing our stupid and over conservative selectors, he won't debut til he's at leats 30.

what about Phil Jaques !!!!!! he expects to be playing for NSW early in the new year
so you would expect Jaques, Rogers, North, Shaun Marsh (who was the spare Batsman in india) and Klinger all to be in front Hughes
