Franger Cup SA v Qld

Postby rod_rooster » Wed Dec 03, 2008 10:43 am

SA would consider themselves a huge chance to take the points here. Queensland will be dangerous with all there all rounders but if Tait can fire and we get a couple of batsman set we will be looking good. Hopefully the confidence gained from the Shield game will buoy the playing group for another solid performance today.

SA 0/7 (3.0)

Klinger 4*
Cooper 2*

Bit surprised Borgas has been left out. Batting looks a bit weak for my liking.

The Redbacks will salute today. The Bulls are shocking at one day cricket, which is why I went Bunta when the Blues somehow contrived to lose our match to them. Dead set average.

260 - 280 is a more realistic target IMHO. Khan is starting to smash it around but lose him and we will be stalled a bit. To get 300 Khan will have to bat through.

Dammit!!

Solid enough start though. Klinger is such a gun, what a signing.

I can't believe we left Borgas out of a one dayer, he had a good knock in the 2nd dig vs da Bulls as well.

Oh and as I type that CK tells us Klinger is out. God dammit.

FFS, just when SA looked to be in a good position the two set batsmen get out

Big job for Ferguson here. He needs to be there at the end of 50 overs. I still can't work out why Christian isn't batting ahead of both Manou and O'Brien :?

I am amazed Borgas was left out as well RM.

Edit - it appears common sense has prevailed with Christian going in ahead of Manou and O'Brien :D

2 wickets in 3 balls isn't good in the middle overs.

Hopefully Ferguson and Christian can get a good partnership happening.
