Simple Savings

Postby Sojourner » Thu Nov 27, 2008 7:01 pm

On Today Tonight they featured a website that I am a member of, - Simple Savings, on it the site owner took a whole street of households and went through their spending and came up with a massive amount of financial savings for each house hold based on very basic things, it was quite a surprise just how much money people are bleeding for no good reason and how easy it was for families to turn it around, one family discovered that by the use of the savings plan one of them was able to give up their job as the financial pressure was released!

Some of the suggestions are things like,

Having a Meal Plan,

Shopping with a Shopping List,

Bulk Buying,

Not using Credit Cards,

Energy Savings

Re-Negotiating - Insurance companies, Utilities etc etc.

If you are finding things tough going financially at the moment I am very confident that you might well be interested in this website!

I've been using that one for ages now...some very useful info and the guy knows his stuff too...he's often on the news as a financial pundit. He also has a tv show about saving money etc although that's a bit like Playschool on acid...bright colours, fast flashy graphics, lots of shouting and jumping for one topic to another.

The forum is pretty good...loads of people with tried and tested ideas...success and failures...so handy to see what not to try.

JAS
