This lad has given tremendous service to SFL and did not deserve this dished out to him especially as that a precedent has never been set by other players and clubs.
Over 85% of GSFL players pulled out and RMFL players as well
This was decided on last night by SFL Directors without a hearing from PNFC or player concerned after a leter of protest wslodged by Cove F.C. Who will now have to be squeeky clean.

It shows how out of touch the s.f.l. directors are to make a decision like this. As you stated Observer players from other leagues boycotted this carnival. This could cost the lad a mail medal or league leading goalkicker. Obviously Cove not happy after Tedmanson destroyed them saturday. Hopefully this spurs him on to leave this league behind and play league footy where he belongs. He is young and too good to be wasting his talent when he could do a "Fitzy" and take the s.a.n.f.l. by storm. Wake up South Adelaide if you want the best local talent he is it !!!

In regards to the tedamanson incident well done to the SFL i reckon.........Tedmanson lied to the sfl said he was unavailable through injury however plays for his local club on the weekend he tells the sfl he is injured.........yes he destroyed cove but if they did send a letter i don't think it was due to him destroying them probably due to them releasing Vick and Weidemann to go and play for the southern district side and it not being right porties play a bloke who told the sfl he was injured........I believe that when this carnival is on no sfl games should be played so no clubs are disadvantaged like a couple were this weekend........cove were the most disadvantaged i think as they sent 2 of there very best away and happy valley also sent one of there best away.......Great game sunday reynelaa morphies terrific contest.......Flag is wide open at this stage....... I'll still stick with my cove tip though[/u]

Ill agree with one thing that Cove a definite favourite and deservedly so
Travis Tedmanson rang Fielke on Wednesday two weeks ago telling him that he was carying a injury and that he would not be able to play all weekend but would make himself available if needed. Fielke stated he accepted that and that he needed fit players and understood the situation he was in. Travis has always made himself available for SFL. He didnot lie as you have stated He was forced off the ground again on Saturday when Porties only had 17 men on the field. P.N.F.C. had only 16 men on the field for the last ten minutes. I beleive if you knew this lad you would not be stating he was a liar.

I'm a new member and concerned re the reports re the Brighton Vs Cove incident. As a Bomber supporter the incident has caused much concern around the club. Interesting the comment "Daper threw the first punch"...Sitting in a car with the window then smashed....Seems strange.

OrDoubleBlues - you are very critical. They must have done something to you ?

How can the SFL suspend a player without giving him or his club the chance of a hearing? Especially after he had already notified them of his unavailability.

The player must not have been 100% fit if he could not get through one game on the weekend let alone five games, which he would have had to have done if he went to the country championships in Berri.

It just sounds like sour grapes from Cove.

Did the GSFL play on the weekend?

I thought that they had a bye week for all teams so players could attend this carnival, also noticed a there wasn't as many results in the paper from country leagues over the weekend.

Hot Dogs......... Draper in the car was the very last part of the story.......... There was a fair bit going on before he ran back to the car and the reports you heard about Draper throwing the 1st were correct......I'm like you tho no matter his record this shouldn't be condoned at all......
As for Tedmanson i stand by my earlier comments...Port Norlunga were told the thursday before Cove, the day before the game, and, the morning of the game by SFL officials that if Tedmanson played he would recieve 2 weeks suspension........This didn't bother Porties as they have Aldinga and Marion over the next 2 weeks.....SFL warned Port Norlunga, they didn't adhere to the rules, so well done SFL in going through with it.

This obviously changes the story re Tedmanson ..... still harsh but if Porties were warned fair enough ......... can you elaborate on the events at Cove Jono ?? Interesting to hear Draper threw the first punch ......i have heard that it may have started due to some of Draper's on field antics which were earlier denied.

Hacksville - At game and there was no antics by Draper at all. The game was in fact pretty tame. Information was that alleged offenders are known as trouble makers and made comments that they were looking for a fight during the day to some players from Cove.

Events were that alleged offenders approached Draper after match behind the southern goals and picked the fight. A scuffle ensured but then Draper didn't want to continue and was saying "I don't want to fight you" and was back pedling away - backed up by witnesses. He then was put into a car by a lady who was there - this is when the window was smashed and then Schneeza was set upon (even bitten). This information has been confirmed by women who were present and they have reported this to police.

I believe charges have been laid over the Draper incident now as the guy was knowen to Police and has been chrged over another matter earlier this year at the Cove Tavern.

This was reported in either the Advertiser or Southern Times Messenger in the last week or so.

Jono

I suppose this story of Travis Tedmanson could go on and on
Your informtion is totally incorrect only because I was involved and heard all of the discussions
that took place For your information the coach of the Southern District side even rang up to Vouch for Travis and his story. I suppose you been told one story and we beg to differ.
The true facts if the club was told what you are stating he would not have played The lad has to much to offer this league and if you know anything about him then the situation is that he is being called a liar and that is far from the truth. I know one club that now needs to become squeaky clean with their history I can not see that happening.

Observer........So what you are saying is that the SFL is against Porties and Tedmanson so they suspended him for nothing....is this correct???? I don't think.......Well done SFL sticking to ya guns....... next year i wonder how many players will just turn there back on the Southern Districts side not many after this.......As for the other club having to be squeky clean your right they will but good on them for sending 2 of there best players to play in the District side even they they new they were laready in strife with 4 or 5 injuries.......

Stampy, yes, i think you read correct mate, the bombers got a touch up.
Not sure if the wheels have fallen off brighton with draper and godwin out, but you wouldnt have thought they would be the 25 goal difference between the sides. The game was at brighton aswell i think.
Have Reynella finally hit theit straps?? Next 2 weeks should tell the story, Valleys then Cove

Unfortunately the Bombers are facing a bit of a battle. 6 Players injured from previous encounter with Reynella and Betterman injured early in match. Current players missing - Draper, Godwin, Nicholls, Staite.

All credit to reynella - played very well and look in good touch.

Now whilst i find it hard to believe all that you are saying hotdogs, in no way do i approve of what happened, i am pretty sure the bloke who was charged with the assault had sustained a broken nose, and many people who were there saw draper throw the first punch on the oval!!!! Not sure what to believe, way too many rumours floating around to know the real truth, i guess its the police job to sort it out.
