Not in the same class as the top 5 of Mt Lofty, Hahndorf, Mt Barker, Onkas, Uraidla, Blackwood, Kersbrook, Torrens Valley and probably even Kangarilla. If Birdwood can't come up with a better top 5 than that, they will not push finals.

Haven't heard a thing about Ironbank recruiting this year, just that they have lost a couple of their best players. Are they keeping it quiet or are they set for a tough rebuilding year?

who have you herd has gone mate ? only muffy who only played 4/5 games last year and ex to marion widdo retired have signed a couple but wont disclose on here just yet
of those mentioned only muffy would be a massive loss but as said only played a few last year anyway as 4 ex and widdo good servants to the club but best prob past them with a guy like keels to step in to widdos place and get a decent crack at it instead of 2 weeks up and 2 weeks down ...things looking alright at thunder park atm

I think you will miss Exelby and Muffy a lot, 2 of your 5 best players easily IMO, at least in the games i saw. And gonna be honest, Ironbank didn't exactly set the house on fire this year.

I would not expect an outsider to appreciate the issues for IBs late slump last yr, but that has now been addressed. We have been written off for next yr.....happy to leave it at that.

Not sure yet mate but I was talking to a certain bloke that I brought out there and we will go back up there at some stage and play at year with the boys up there before we get too old and decrepid...

Maybe when they offer me the coaching job....

When you get the coaching job I'll come back aswell you could probably harden that team up which is what they need.

fair call bat pad, im thinking this 5 is not that close really to there best! Kreig and Ryan McGahey will be close to 2 of the best midfielders in competition, i understand the depth isnt there but these 2 will win games on there own!
Hanton will be better with a better midfield too
There ruckman dont his name, seen him play once last yr and he has a real go, but missed most yr with injury. And Coad well if he doesnt get excited and lose 40kilo's he may as well retire.
I think they will improve a fair bit. Be interesting to see.

Found this on line - sounds like a tribute for someone on a football trip that performed badly. they are burning something. Ironbank lads would definately appreciate this who went on the trip - perhaps not one bloke though who had cricket on return to Adelaide - sorry big fella - miss you.

Still around and playing good footy... had a bit of injury trouble last year which is what would keep him out. Can still turn a game though.
