Not sure why I feel this way and I find it all very amusing what eventuated, but it ain't Roy's job to shut down streakers.....Players should stay well out of it and let security do what they are paid to do......I'm no saint either!!
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

If a guy comes in brandishing a gun, you're entitled to shoot him.
If he comes in brandishing a sock full of rose petals, you can't shoot him.

What Symonds did was use force that equalled the threat.

Tricky as to whether Symonds would have got done if the streaker pressed charges. You guys are all acting as if Symonds was acting to protect himself. Does anyone actually believe that? Fair chance he was just pissed at the bloke and wanted to clobber him and get on with the game. You don't hip and shoulder to protect youself as you'd be vulnerable to being punched.

Very funny though and common sense did prevail. We just have to be careful not to send the message the violence is acceptable in all similar circumstances.

With the ineptitude of security at such events, I don't think Roy can be blamed for taking matters into his own hands; he didn't go chasing the bloke, the bloke found him.

Yes, it is very interesting to note that you are just as wrong now as you were back then. Do you know Andrew well do you? Didn't think so.
