Would expect it will get done once all grades are finalised which could be anytime between now and March or at least after the next delegates meeting.

Broadview will dominate with their pick ups and should only stay in Div 2 for the one season
PHOS & Adelaide Uni round out top 3
Out of interest 93-94, what pickups?

Obviously Wintle for one along with at least 2 others from Rooster Land and I hear a few from the B&LG are headed to Tiger Land - I have been asked not to reveal names by one of the committee members so I will respect their wishes
How many games do you reckon Tubby will play? I'm tipping 6 at the very most. I hear you've signed Paris Fowden or if not pretty close to it but Paris would be 33/34 at least and I don't care what anyone says, playing coaches just don't work.

Let me offer you a friendly warning with all good intention and speaking from recent experience. If anyone from Broadview thinks they're going to come into Div2 and dominate, that'll be your first mistake for the season. I'm not doubting your desire to go back up but I'd be looking at the competition first and then making your assessment on where you'll end up. We've had a season to look at it and still aren't game to make any predictions.

If Tubby can play half the games this year it will be great and having a playing coach is a risk we are willing to take, as for expecting to make the GF, not an issue, we are about arresting the slide the club has been in for 4 years now, culminating in the relegation last year.
We DO NOT expect to be a dominate team in Div 2, what we do expect is to be very competitive and make the finals, then anything can happen. As for the age of the team and players we are recruiting. Our average age last year would have been about 21, so we need some more experienced players in the team to teach our younger kids how to go about things, especially in tight games which we actually lost about 5 of last year.

Ill be the first to admitt i didn't think playing coaches work but having seen scoot Leal go about his duty in the past few years he is an exception. Yes a few blokes going with him are getting on but don't worry they can all still play. As for going into the upcoming season cocky i know for a fact scotty will be confident but not cocky.. He to is a very good player.. they will def play finals next season.

just got back in the country but what the hell is going on in div 2 i heard broadview have signed ex north adelaide player d.wintle to coach, and they will dominate the league i also heard athelstone are the real deal and will play finals next year. on the other end of the scale i here ep has a new coach after this years coach got them in a grand final and he is now coaching else where and quite a few have gone with him, the new club must be pretty happy, plus 4 or 5 gone to the country wow good luck with that.

From the a grade side EP have lost Shane Cosenza (s/north), Trav mcKee (BL), Tony Lane, Michael Lane, Mich Ashby, Darnell Chantrelle (Gumeracha), Nathan Solly & Nathan Scott (BL), and a fair few quality b grade players to Brahma as well. Are currently on the recruiting drive, particularly lookin for a ruckman (or two), key defender, key forward....just like most other sides.....

so is it true that broadview are the team and why have so many left ep is it because of the clubs dumb decision to let go of a coach that got them into a grand final (no disrespect to new coach) or were the players looking to move on anyway, who is new coach does he seem to have the goods.

Even with Gunning etc Modbury will find it hard to finish in the top 5 in A1.
Regardless of how good they were in Div2 A1 is a different kettle of fish.
Anyway i'm hoping they do well.
Seaton are training once a week now after the scheduled 2 times a week failed.
Once again players have got there own way!
Just where will they finish in 2009?
I say 4-5th.

Called past Broadview oval yesterday. About 40 blokes on the track and most looked in good nick. Good to see that the recruiting has gone well, very young team again but the older recruits should balance it out nicely, all looking promising for a good year.

NM is a bloke by the name of mark moody involved at seaton this year, after a couple of years in assistant roles with the magpies juniors he is no longer there, and when speaking to him on the weekend, almost hinted that he was going to reasonably involved down there this year

EP do have a decent young mullet haired ruckman. Is he staying? He would be better in the middle than the other two.
