Finally Rudi gets one right!
And all the Aussie Fielders and Symonds are totally dismayed by the decision which was obviously off the pad.
Symonds should go for Dissent. Thought that you are now meant to show the umpire respect by turning and facing him when appealing and NOT simply just run straight on towards the slips taking it as a Given that it is going to be given out.

You are kidding yourself Champion. Good decision by Rudi (for once), but it's certainly not obvious when the balls doing 130km/h. Try seeing what it deflects off from slips. Lucky you could make a decision using slow mo.

i suppose symonds thought that dravid hit that ball in sydney last year when dravid missed it by a foot.

The umpire is in the best spot to see. That's OBVIOUSLY why he stands there. Did you even see how close it was to the bat? Symonds thought he hit it and it was well worth a shout.
Not a bad memory if you can remember a non-decision from last year.

You would too if you were bowled by Watto

Have you ever bowled?
You follow through with vision bouncing around rather than just standing there. That's why the umpire isn't on a treadmill.
Umpire has best perspective for deflection, line and as good as it can get for sound.

That's lost it's value now that Watto is turning into a gun with the ball.
