would be dissapointing.
i would think after sticking around karoonda for the hard run last year and the chance of success next year in 09 that he would stay.

Huge step for him to go from Karoonda to Mypo. The jump in standard would be massive and I reckon only the top few players from the Mallee league with a full pre season would make it in the RMFL.

I think you are under rating the Mallee league a bit there Slapsy, the top 10 players in the better teams would be good players in any country league.

The top ten players at Karoonda last year would not make it in the Riverland, South East, Murray bridge, Port Augusta, Port Lincloln, Barossa or Great Southern. It was a disgrace the Riverland lost to the Mallee a couple of years ago in an Interleague game as the players arn't committed to it. Karoonda only won one game remember last year. Who was in the interleague squad from Karoonda last year? - Did anyone from Karoonda make the zone team?? Not from memory, but stand to be corrected.

Slapsy,

Karoonda finished bottom in 2008. Therefore they were not one of the better teams (Lameroo, BDT and Murrayville)

Did get a bit off track there but my point was he (Brodie) was a Karoonda player last year and I reckon the step to Mypo (made the GF) would be a big one.

Will be interesting to see how Kellor goes for BDT as he was one of the better players at Waikerie and I reckon he should dominate for BDT.

What possie does Kellor play?

Chinner is a good player, probably needs to get a bit fitter to dominate a game.

karoonda just did not ahve the depth last year....still had a few quality players like hocko, chinner, knight, neary and burnett and about 5 others that are good regular A graders.

the top players from any team would make it in most country footy teams.

chinner is very very fit atm....has been running every night and drinking very little

Ud be right there Mex..Karoonda are hoping Lukey signs just before the season starts but i really dont see it happening, work is too important to him next year in his final year. Great player if he puts his mind to it though!

It will be interesting to see who can make training all the way out at the bridge as half the players i see are on the move couldn't even make it to Kangy when i was on the spy..Sorry guys i don't see that a team that doesn't train together play together... i think you may struggle!!

yeah but half the players at the meet the coach day are already comitted to other clubs and only went up there to say gday to the smelt. so far there's only three definites both jacksons and barrat from kangarilla. he's going to need more than an over the hill midfielder, a good b grader and an aging CHF to get anywhere....

obviously you havent seen them play dentist.
the over the hill midfielder was the leading stat getter at kangarilla last year.i think he managed 32 poss per game. consistently polling well in the m/m for his club in hills and southern 3rd in the b/f and hes only 28.(not that old ) his best football years are still a head of him.so if your pissed he left dont bag him on here im sure he would have a beer with you at the pub and maybe you could voice your opinion to him there.
in my book not a bad effort considering his opposition
and if he could do that again next year ithink he will be an asset don't you?

Talking about him like that you would want to hope that he wins the medal next sesson!! and in my head i would say that 28 y.o. you are pushing it to say that there are still good years to come, that is about the age when you start to put on weight get lazy and loose fitness. With that many touches i thought that i would have seen his name in the paper...couldn't have got many B.O.G. (maybe get the touches but what does he do with the disposal..)
