M.Hayden 6 - Got off to a bad start in 1st test with couple of shocking umpire decisions, and couldn't get going for most of series. Played a couple of attacking cameo innings but overall disappointing. Tough decision for selectors do we stick with Hayden or look for replacement with the ashes in mind where Hayden will be nearing 38 years of age. Retire in Adelaide will be his 100th test fitting way to end.
S.Katich 8 - Brillant series by the Kat played the pace and spin well through out the tour, has cemented his spot for some time to come. Still think he is best suited to middle order, relishing as a opener for now.
R.Ponting 6 - Started the series with a bang making a brilliant hundred his first on Indian soil. A battle from there on with only the one more significant innings for the series. Once again when under pressure his captanincy was mediorce.
M.Hussey 9 - Mr Cricket was at his best on his first tour of India. A tick under 400 runs at average of 56. Australias leading batsmen and player of the tour.
M.Clarke 5.5 - Didn't look like the Clarke we have come to know, especially against the spin were he has made a name as one of the finest players of spin in world cricket. A century to his name in Dehli (dropped three times, once when in 20's sitter to Sharma ) but generally struggeld throughout. Also proved that his spin will only be of a part time substance.
S.Watson 6 - Looked good with bat early in series faded out longer the tour went. Not sure if he is number 6 quality, would be nice to give him the first two tests of the Australian Summer to find out. His bowling looked flat for alot of the time in the first three tests. Nagpur he was pick of the quicks and swung the ball. Gives it his all. Big question marks still there.
B.Haddin 4 - Hasn't had the start to a test career that we all thought he would. His keeping wasn't the best in the toughest keeping conditions. His batting also a concern few starts, too many soft get outs. No need to panic yet.
C.White 4 - Proved that he is not a frontline spinner and should of never been selected to fill that role. Showed he is a capable batsmen with a good head on his shoulders. I am one that hopes he comes back as a top six batsmen in years to come. Still only 25 plenty of time.
B.Lee 3 - On wickets that were flat and not productive for fast bowling really battled. No swing for him and didn't worry the Indians at any time.
S.Clark 2 - The number 3 bowler in the world didn't look it. Straight up and down with no swing, and lacked his zip of the wickets. Looked very pedestrian at times with the Indains prepared to sit on him. Will be looking forward to the Gabba, his record in last 12 months warrants his selection.
P.Siddle 4 - Strange choice to replace the injured Clark in the second test. Got belted around a bit at times. Showed enough with 4 wickets he will be there abouts in future, still young.
J.Krezja 8 - Only played the one test being the last, claming 12 wickets. Got belted as well at times, showed good character to keep throwing the ball up. Spins the ball big, Excellant debut. Now the Australias number one spinner, no reason why he cant keep it.
M.Johnson 7 - Pick of the quicks, impressive all series. Very strong spells were he bowled quick and could get the ball to bounce around their throats even on the most lifeless wickets. Gusty effort.
