Yes, significant loss for peake but they should be able to pick up a couple of good footballers for the dollars they were spending on him!

Bump

So there have been a lot of names linked with Karoonda in season 2009, another one I've heard of recently that has been approached is Justin Hentschke from Mclaren.

I want to know have any players signed or are the names mentioned a "hit list"?

I'm hearing that a few players linked to a local agriculture business are being chased by Karoonda.
Pinnaroo and Lameroo might be the clubs to lose out in this battle.

From the Karoonda 2009 thread

yeah but half the players at the meet the coach day are already comitted to other clubs and only went up there to say gday to the smelt. so far there's only three definites both jacksons and barrat from kangarilla. he's going to need more than an over the hill midfielder, a good b grader and an aging CHF to get anywhere....

All these big names signed with karoonda but the big question is when will the supercoach get the signature of mr kangarilla himself, Radar??? Could be on the cards considering he owes Smelt one after playing with him last year.

I dont like the chances of that one happening. Those 2 likely lads are pretty happy where they are.

all i keep hearing on this thread and the karoonda thread is you blokes blowin wind up each others arses
has there been any of these guns signed yet eg. muffy ,howeser ,gratzey ?
i would doubt it as muffy would have played maybe 4 games last year and if he didnt play he didnt get payed and the coin was good ...so saying this there must be a truck load of cash on offer for him at smeltsville if this is the case :D :D

Not what I was told by a Karoonda club person today.

4 players at $500 per game equals $2,000 per week
Not sure how many weeks....say 15
There goes 30 grand of the 40 grand

From what I have read there is more like 10 players at $500 a game
That is $5,000 per week.
After 8 weeks there goes the forty grand
Sitting on the top undefeated

WHAT HAPPENS THEN?
