I suggest you look at the purposes of the Trade Practices Act before stating the government should/could have stopped it.

Yes they can, I know of a couple of examples where companies purchased others and had to get ACCC approval prior to the purchase cause of the market share they would end up with....

Not really, what is 'predatory' anyway and in what context? If you are talking about predatory pricing, which as far as I know is the only area in which the term predatory is used, you got Buckley's of getting them on that.

However, I think you are talking about mergers so you might want to look at the ACCC guidelines for that.

I was glad I paused and waited for the car heading South on Lonsdale Hwy that went through the red light as i tried to turn right into Lander Ave tonight....

Sorry I move off from traffic lights slowly - too many dickheads on Adelaide roads especially now that school s finishing for those who've just got their P plates and think they are bullet proof....
