Australia - The Movie

Am I the only one who can't stand Nicole Kidman?

Even though Hugh Jackman is a bloody good actor (and my missus would love to see him with his shirt off), I won't sit through 2 and a half hours of Kidman stinking up the screen.

No you're not.

Personally I love Nicole Kidman's work... O:)
But on the other hand a friend of mine can't stand her and won't watch a movie with her in it, any interviews, nothing!! :o
A bit like my husband can't stand Hugh Grant

PS: Am looking forward to the movie Australia... hope it's all it's cracked up to be O:)

They've certainly pumped alot of cash into the PR work! Would be good for Tourism if it's popular, but still. Nicole's best work was in Days of Thunder.

IMHO Nicole Kidman is a reasonably good actress, but I never get excited by her (or her movies generally).

Hopefully if there's any love scene between the two, Jacko's Wolverine claws pop out and cut her screen time short

Don't mind Kidman but Baz 'Adelaide is a hole' Luhrman can go and get ******. What a pretentious wanker.

I hated Dorry Evans in number 96.

Until someone showed me that this is why she is a good/great actor.

Not a huge fan of Luhrmann's work - overblown and overwrought and I expect Australia to be more of the same.

But nobody else could've made a $140/160/180m flick with Hollywood money out in the middle of nowhere. Crazy. Nobody else would have the balls to even try it.

Despite the hype, Australia won't make or break the local industry - the pitched battle with the current generation change will do that.

But it could give it an enormous and welcome boost...
