Well, if he stopped driving into Hungry Jacks takeaways on his way to practice, he wouldn't look like he does, and maybe people wouldn't comment.

Yes, let's blame the media, let's blame the SACA, but don't by any means blame Cosgrove himself. It's not his fault he's unfit and no longer capable of playing 1st class cricket. SACA officials must be tying him down and force feeding him.

That is just plain wrong AH.

Really? Where's the evidence I'm wrong?

Tait went for 71 tonight, he's no longer able to play first-class cricket.

Pretty sure Cossy's fitness or body shape didn't have anything to do with his dismissal today. He missed out yes, but he's not the first bloke to get a duck in the FRC, and he won't be the last.

i think with the likes of ronchi & co they'll make too many runs for the redbacks & thus the $1.55 is a gift

woeful captaincy aswell IMO by manou... why would u let the batsman get easy singles for so long and at the start of their innings.. build pressure and make them go over the top! Manou's captaincy definitely had a part in why SA lost tonite

Very disappointing performance by the Redbacks. I love Tait and all but I can see why he's basically given up on the longer form of the game. That was pretty impressive what Marsh did to him.

The Redbacks problems in the 50 over game have a lot to do with the way they get lost in the middle overs of their batting.

They often get a great start, then just drift in the middle overs.

I think the more worrying issue is that Tait appears to be writing himself off

Fair call rodney. All I saw was a bloke struggling for form. I know he has had problems above the shoulders in the past, I reckon you boys would know more about what's going with Taity than I would all these miles away. *pulls head in*

REB from what i hear the media has still talked his efforts up down here, only because he got ronchi and pomersbach in consecutive balls. he bowled within himself and is struggling to find it in himself to bowl consistently and with pace and aggression which are his strengths.. he bowled quick for the first couple of overs and then second and third spells was bowling mid 130's to low 140's..
hopefully we see tait back to his best soon and tearing up the domestic scene and into the aussie squads.

I noticed that the more he bowled the lower his arm was getting. He's not making full use of his height. He has an unusual style, just like Jeff Thomson had. But it was Lillee who had the action and the longevity in the game. Perhaps this is why some are thinking he might be gawnski.

yeah langer and blewett on fox sports were definitely commentating on that..he was not bowling with a high action. tait has always bowled with a severly bent front knee and therefor making him bowl from a lower height but his arm (both front and bowling arm) were not in the same position at the 5 over mark as it was at the start of the first over.

He's a bit low on confidence at the moment. He also appears to be struggling a little with general fitness but that should improve throughout the summer. Tait could be anything but he needs to gety himself switched on mentally before that will happen.

Tait looked really, really flat last last. First over good, but even as he took the wickets there was minimal celebration. I'm not sure what the issue is because he was well below his best last night and was never really threatening for wickets after his first over.
