What about the Newberry with the fluro orange stripe (as used by Lance Cairns)

Yes, I remember :) It was the one with the cut-down shoulders, made famous by Lance Cairns' swashbuckling innings against the Aussies in a World Series Cup final in 1983. I think it was called the Excalibur or something!

it happened for a few years in victoria with the 'grass track championships' which they ran at places like kilmore, cranbourne (those that had a racetrack on the outside of the trotting track & had the final at moonee valley......they had a race several years ago at victoria park in which horses 'shied' at one of the crossings & from memory more than half the field were either completely put out of the race or fell with this complete tangleup & i think only about 4 horses finished, i'm not sure who it was but a driver ended up in hospital for a week or so, i think it was more the safety aspect more than anything as to why it hasn't happened for a while, for a guess i'd say they stopped about 6-8 years ago

Rock Wallaby (and his grandfather, Clarence Wallaby, who used to be the logo for a furniture building across the road from the old North Adelaide Le Cornu's, IIRC) Charlie Wombat.

Winky Dink (used to get away with the odd slightly blue one-liner which went over most of our heads on the Super Cartoon Show and C'mon Kids)

Jon Oster, Patsy Biscoe, Ian Wilson, Robin Roenfeldt, Ian Fairweather, Joanna Moore, Dean Davis, Deane Hutton and Rob Morrison, and a lot of the others I grew up with on local TV.
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...

Yep, Joanna Moore has been doing voice overs in Sydney for probably 15 years now. Don't hear much about Robin Roenfeldt though, i think he may live up in the hills somewhere although i'm not sure. Winky Dink's "friend", Wendy Patchett, i think is the name, does some voice overs as well. Rob Morrison still involved in the scientific field. And another favourite back in the 80's, with an early morning cartoon show, Jane Reilly, who we obviously see every weekday doing the weather on ch 10.

Its quite disappointing the small level of locally produced kids tv compared to 20/30/40 years ago, but thats the age we live in unfortunately.
