I heard molls brother is trying to get him back where he first pulled the boots on and finish his playing days with him? Be good to see them running around in the same colours again, or should I say hobbling!!

Results from McLaren AGM last night:

President: Ian Pollard
Vice President: Shaune Finn
Secretary: Danny Schneider
Treasurer: Deb Broughton

Also10+ other representatives on the committee
And 10+ representatives on the Junior Committee

So lots of hands on deck.
Great to see.

O:)

Yes It was agood night.
Missed you KK

The enthusiasm which has been building over the last couple of years continues to grow.
With the majority of last years committe members continuing and the addition of some of the junior committee into the senior committee will keep things progressing.

There are lots of things in the pipeline
Extensions to the clubrooms,
The Cricket Club to share the facilities
Player recruitment..with 2 already signed up
A website to be set up
Possibly 3 night games in 2009
Footballers V Netballers Netball game

We kick off the season against Willunga with a night game on the 4th April

Sorry i couldn't make it Yetti, but i was at the United game drowning my sorrows after the first five minutes :( :drinkers: . What a great atmosphere though. I would rather go to any soccer game at Hindmarsh than watching AFL crap at boring old AAMI Stadium.
God it was a long day at work Thursday. :toimonster:
Good to see the club is looking at getting right back with a few positive decisions made. Looking forward to next year already. :)
How long have the clubroom renovations been in the pipeworks. I thought something was meant to be done four years ago, but i keep hearing the same old stuff. Last year there were some plans put up, when is all this going to start.

I'd say the ball got rolling along with the plans in place etc.... so hopefully it's full steam ahead in the coming new year KK.

A Complex matter of combining, club funds and Govt, Grants.
No-one on the Committe has any building background and are of course all volunteers.
And I think it has become a bit too much at times
A refocus, with an experienced builder to help will speed things up

i think one member on your committee has a bit of background in the building industry, i think if you ask around your committee there is definately someone there...

All sounds good, atleast its up and running. Will any work start on the club this off-season?
I am sure if the club held a bit of a working bee they would get a few volunteers. I would put my hand up to dig a couple of holes or something, that's about all i will be good for.

I think that's a great idea KK... would be good to have a working bee at some stage.
I know that alot of our moddies parents have great skills to offer as well.
Might be something for the committee to think about at some stage.

That's strange, i thought you actually needed rain to fill up a hole with water, unless you filled it with something else!!

Our ol mate TBB is a bit left field, priceless fun when you know the man.

Think he might of been quoting the lines out of the movie "the castle"? Or he could just be on crack again.

I can assure you it's never the lack of sleep, as he will point out, that's just him. Great value.
Bit like Jelom I'd imagine.
