Is it possible to have a list of good albums this decade...would be a pretty short list.

From the "what were they thinking?" department, here's a selection of the 100 worst album covers ever:
(#4 is all class )

Correct. The lists are just opinions and a bit of fun -some of their comments are quite amusing.
Readers of the site had some better suggestions for the worst song category.

Sorry boys, but I think the Doors are massively overrated. A few good songs and a heap of rambling improvs does not a rock great make. Morrison has no range, the drumming is pedestrian and it is only the keyboards that save this group in my view. I rate 'The End' 'Break on through to the other side' and one or two others but that is about it.

Wouldn't rate then in the worst 50 mind you, but not in the best 50 either. Apologies Doors fans! I know I'll be in the minority here. *backs out of the room ducking flying beer cans*

You're entitled to your opinion REB!

Thing is, before I got in to The Doors in a big way - I would have had a similar opinion as you do. Often it's just where you are, your state of mind, the time of your life - or maybe being naive and cynical to begin with that lets you "discover" something you previously hadn't given the time of day.

John Densmore's drumming is great - big fan of his (and his book too!) The keyboard were always interesting as they doubled for the bass that wasn't in the band.

Check out the VH1 Storytellers DVD which is the band with various singers (From the Cult, Stone Temple Pilots et al) and it really does sound great. "The End" is great - sung to perfection. Also has a real modern sound to the recording.

I love 60s/70s blues/rock though so maybe I'm biased.
The Doors go great with a splash of Allman Brothers
