As I remember they, Vades & Task played for seaford as juniors a long time ago, they might have played their first senior game for shoes, heck my memory is not that bad, why dont you sak them :?

Krusty - I can confirm that a lad called Kym McDonald who played for Cove in the late 80's and a bit of the 90's made a Century in the 16's and A Grade on 1 saturday and then followed it up with another ton the following day when the 1 day comp was held on sundays.
Huge talent that lost his way a bit in life so I've heard.

As for the B grade boys also a good effort but a shame to see 2 of OUR lads having a run with the enemy! Vades I just dont get as he wanted to bat at a higher level as he thought that he was never given that chance at the Shoe? and here he is playing B grade and batting at 8!! as for Task I know he is not comfortable playing their and is just giving one year for Trev as this is his last year last year last year last year you know what I mean????
two of OUR lads r they still signed at shoes? wasnt vades batting 11 for shoes if not sometimes being 12th and only bowling a few overs every now and again whats the point of that no wonder he lost motivation i checked the books 2nite looks like he made a good 30odd on the weekend batting at 8 not bad i say also while i was doin my tuesday nite run down of the books i saw that rhodes was playing a grade and didnt bowl he's not a bad bowler is he goin to be the next vader and bat 11 or 12 and not bowl (scarff fan club do u know)? from what i heard tasker is enjoying himself down here and very much likes the social scene aswell as the cricket i dont know about giving it one year for trev? who is trev u must be thinkin of trebs

Pencil was a huge talent.
Came to the shoes from Adelaide I think and once took 10for and made 91 in the same game just missing out on a unique double.

I heard that Kym McDonald in Under 16's made 150, first 100 ruight handed then at drinks swapped gloves and made the last 50 left handed!

Any truth to that, heard it from a few reliable sources...

Wasn't 150, was about 70 odd...but it is true, he was on about 50, Paul Kinnear was coach at the time (think it was a 2nd innings to) and said to Kym he was going to retire him in a couple of overs...so Kym switched around and ended up making an extra 20-30 runs...I should know this story word for word, he told me it enough times...a talent for sure, but not the sharpest knife in the drawer
