big question magoo, i'm guna handball this one off to backliner, rodney or young gun.
on saying that though, through bar takings, i'm trying my darndest to help keep the bar afloat!! although, the missus seems to think feeding our 2yo boy (future collingwood hall of famer, father-son draft pick) is more important than helping the club by buying beer and coke zero.
she gots to get her priorities straight, i rekon.
over to you rod, yg or backy....
Financial Situation?
I can assure you that the club is in good stead (simon ha ha) for the future financially. To be honest we were probably a bit slack on sponsorship last year and it hurt us a bit. New season ahead and the excitement around the place has secured some new sponsors and interest from outside the area, so things just on that front alone are looking tops. Then inject the bar takings and all is sweet.
We are doing massive amounts of meals during the week that is helping and I can definitley say all looks good financially.
Its just the learning to play football bit we have to get right now.
Has the club thought about maybe lifting the price of these meals from the genuine 1970s prices of about $4 a meal? I remember training there for finals this year, and these meals smelt good and they were practically giving them away! I remember thinking to myself perhaps
the SHRIVE was on to something...
Ha ha yeah they are pretty cheap. As
Busta said they do the meals at what they want and we just work the bar and take that money. Just a good way of getting people into the club really.
nice and subtle. until i just bought EVERYONES attention to it.
