Hayden
Marsh
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Symonds
Watson
Ronchi
Krejza
Bracken
Lee

Hilfenhaus (12th Man)

Symonds needs to return to give the team some spark, Krejza has done enough to stay, Bracken in for Johnson, we need a left armer that can move the ball around instead of bowling Johnson, who bowls one pace and pushes the ball across the right handers too often. Haddin hasnt proven himself, time for another attacking keeper in Ronchi

yep that makes real sense, drop katich after making a ton in his last test and being our second best bat behind hussey in india. Johnson our leading wicket taker in India, doesnt get the chance to have his second home series and improve even more. IMO i think bracken is the unluckiest bloke of recent years, the number 1 ranked ODI bowler, but atm i think johnson lee and clark all deserve and will play in the first test. It is a ludicris thought that hilfenhaus and bracken will both jump ahead of Clark. He had two average tests but was still economical. I dont see bracken jumping the queue ahead of bollinger as he went to india, and you would think if bollinger went to india he would be the next left armer if johnson was to drop out of form or get injured.

Well tait why would/should he get picked ahead of the likes of Noffke, siddle, hilfenhaus. He has just returned after the pressure and mental exhaustion he was under. Could he cope at test level? his figures since returning to the shield side? and yes the shield format not the one day format?
he is a gem, bowls super super quick but i think he is very far behind in the pecking order. i think there is Lee, Johnson, Clark, Noffke, Siddle, Bollinger, Hilfenhaus, Geeves, Bracken, Magoffin ahead of him. Bracken maybe an exception due to the fact he is constantly overlooked by the aussie selectors for test squads.
altho tait will walk into the one day side with his one day form and wat he did in the world cup. Bracken Lee and Tait to play in the one dayers.

Funny thing with Bracken.

He is the best one day bowler in the world IMO, his line and length is impeccable. Surely he could apply that at test level.
Also swings the ball further than most.

SS i agree, when Johnson made his debut IMO bracken was robbed. What more can he do but constantly take wickets in both the shield and ODI games, he has proven himself surely. His last test game produced a 4/60 in one innings at gabba if my memory serves me correctly.

SO just because you aren't a Katich fan you think he should be dropped despite being one of our form batsmen??????

SS i go back on what i just said, Brackens second to last game he hit 37 off 51 balls, in the second innings he got 4/48 off his 16 overs including the wickets of chanderpaul and lara. His last test game was the test following that at the WACA and then he was dropped for Stuard MacGill

I think we're making a very valid point here. It's a bit of a mystery about why he hasn't been recalled.

Bracken's variation of speed etc would have been useful in India on tracks that offered little

change of pace, line, length, variation in swing. Surely he was more deserving then Siddle?? i think it is very unfortunate to have a player of Brackens proven ability sitting at state level when we are were strugglin in India!

Or lack of, what a dork! Haha. Maybe that's his selection issue, his hair. Johnson and Lee clearly put in more work with their hair.
