Yes belair did beat westminster which is interesting. I think R King will play a mixture of a's and b's for the rest of the year depending on the body.

Bay Boy kingy did fail in the first innings, he will play a mixture and his results wont change his thought. he wants to play b grade becaus of the body! Belair from what i hear did beat westminsters. not a bad effort from the seniors to get within the 110 runs considering the side we had. hopefully we can get a better XI next game.

$20 cab ride is fairly good i reckon...and i thought u mite of struggled driving home lol
well AF said one murphy was injured and batted with a runner on sat thats why he pulled out, and im guessing the other one n summerfield both played in the 20/20... the sides will be up eventually! altho if i had a club 20/20 or association game, i would play club first as i think most people would!

Coverking, this 20/20 thing is a Mickey Mouse competition, our club isnt taking it seriously, if i had the choice of playing T20 or an association game, the association game would be my first priority.

Keswick played their 20/20 yesterday against clapham. Clapham were bowled out in their final over for 100. Keswick scored the runs in the tenth over. Dumbleday scored 70 off about 30 balls and was just smashing them to all parts of the ground by all accounts.

In relation to playing in the association side, i would have to agree with you bazza. The 20/20 is great thing for the competition but association cricket is the best standard of cricket we can play in our comp. The Keswick and Clapham boys were all on teh beers as well so it is a semi-serious comp. Probably half the appeal! Why wouldn't you want to play assoc? Last yr, the guys got to play on Adelaide oval, arguably the greatest ground in the world.

Hunter, i would always be keen to play association cricket but at the same time i think club comes before association.. I would enjoy myself more playin for my club then the association side. but at the same time if there are no club/association clashes i wouldn knock it back n i would give everything to play in it. I think the association should have the association game dates as 'no-goers' for the 20/20 games so it allows skinny to pick the best 11 possible without ppl pulling out to play 20/20 cricket.

and hunter i definitely agree, adelaide oval is the best oval in the world in my view. PERFECT

I have heard that there may only be 5 umpires available for section 1 for this game. Therefore it will mean one game will be umpired by the players. This will be a very interesting scenario to see how section 1 teams handle having a teammate umpire. The two teams involved will be notified before the weekend if they are having to umpire there game themselves. Let's hope for the associations sake that one more umpire can be found before the weekend begins.

its quite simple actually. if u know your out then walk... takes the pressure off your mate... and dont be like rosewater a couple of years ago and make players buy cartons for giving their team mates out...

I would say that until last year I would have put association game before almost anything else if given the opportunity. Now club cricket much more the priority.

Atleast LBWs will be consistent if we umpire ourselves.....

Geof Stanley may be a space cadet but has a good record and a good bowler. It does leave south road extremely short on bowlers.
And JB i would hope our side walks wen we have a teammate umpiring, that is inclusive of our lower grades that umpire every themselves every week, but when u have a paid umpired i personally dont walk because he is paid to do a job. Whereas one bloke in our side walks no matter wat, and it annoys the hell out of me lol but good on him for it. just hoping we dont have to umpire our game!

You don't have to tell me twice about his bowling ability, played a lot of cricket with him, took the good with the bad, occasionally he went walk about for a few months. We always welcomed him back, he won't be gone too long i'm sure...

If you have a chat to him tell him there's always a clearance form back to the doggies with his name on it!! haha
