Found this one of last year when our junior colts played at AAMI stadium, they were the 'curtain raiser' for Port Power V Essendon.

Was a great experience for the boys.

Power raptor
I have an allegiance to Aldinga and hope they improve and become super competitive, it just pisses me off that some of the McLaren juniors are threatening to go there for the wrong reasons. I don't think their hearts will be in it and you need passion and intensity as well as skill to succeed in todays footy environement. Im not sure the P&I will be there when you go to a different club.
Good luck to the sharks[/quote]

and who of mclaren senior colts is supposedly going to aldinga power raptor?

I hope some of these players arent getting carried away with their own self importance :x

The club have spoken to each of them already several times. The president (Polly) and coach (Steve) have all had meetings with them to tell them they are required players. They were invited to the "Meet the Coach" of which some of them turned up and they were told how important they are.
They have scheduled meetings with Steve this week to discuss their playing options and directions.. They have been told on numerous times that they are the future so Im not sure why they are contemplating going to a head case team like Aldinga where they will go out each week and get belted by the big 4 in the SFL fy 40 odd goals. That will be an experience they havent been used to while playing at McLaren Juniors :D
DO THESE GUYS WANT TO BE BEGGED TO PLAY :?

C'mon mate I'm sure we've all got our pre conceptions about each other but I think you would be quite surprised at just how much the Club Culture has changed down our way. As for the 40 odd goals those days are gone I can assure you that.

I'm not sure as to why your players would contemplate leaving but maybe have a look at your own club before slinging that crap on us. Were trying to improve just like you guys, and yes it is a shame that young guys don't hold the same loyalty as to what some others may be acustomed too, but that's football.

Point taken Mr Fox :supz:
I have an allegiance to Aldinga and hope they improve and become super competitive, it just pisses me off that some of the McLaren juniors are threatening to go there for the wrong reasons. An allegiance? I would of thought if their was any allegiance you would understand what position we are in and how many juniors we have lost over the years to other clubs, and then not say things like a head case team like Aldinga...You have a funny way of showing your allegiance. But I do understand your frustration having seen it many times before from our juniors.

We have gotten to a position now where we only want people to play for us who want to play for the club colours and not one year money takers, if people don't want to play at Shark Park then we surely don't hold grudges or try and stop them. Aldinga learnt the hard way some years ago when one of our favourite sons was not cleared by an old committee and years later he would not return as the sour grapes were still there. He would have been invaluable to our club had they only just let him do what he wanted to instead of years later a club finally getting somewhere getting recognised for the wrong doings by old committee members. My advice, if people want to leave then let them if they truely are club people they will come back(hopefully) anyway.

I could go on for hours about this sort of thing.

Even though your post/conversation is not directed at me
I'll butt in and say thanks for sharing that with us RF, very insightful.

And good luck at Shark Park next year... I for one will be popping into the Aldinga Thread in SFL section to hear/see how you're going.

Well done

Didn't see you there KK
Did the Good Wife hold you back for her pleasure!!

Sorry mate did not know it was on. The same as the golf day the other week as well. I don't seem to hear alot about the vice-presidents social functions, do they advertise them much around the place cause i never hear of them.!! :(
I wish the wife would hold me back for her pleasure   !![/quot

hey KK, Would you like to join the VP's? That way you get invited to all the good functions. The club itself dont seem to have too many so lucky we have the VP's

So that is the only way you can get a ticket to these gigs is to become a member, well that sucks!
Im sure they would make a fair bit more cash if they opened it up to the footy club aswell, or are we not allowed to be involved in these secret affairs. So what comraderey do you guys have with the footy club?
