Hear Hear Chuck
The Indy's got no show against the b grade sides and as for Ramco coming into the Indy's me thinks they will flog all sides

Don't know about Ramco. Maybe if they have the money to throw around to pay players. But if that is the case you think they would have used some of it to be able to field the four teams required in the Mid Murray.
Any ideas of what strip they are thinking of

On their performance last year Ramco would not get near the top four from last year and would be on a par with the three mallee teams.

That said they have a history of recruiting very good Waikerie players and this could lift them into the top four. They recruit a few Waikerie A graders, get a few back from other clubs and with a couple of good juniors they have coming through, they fight for the double chance

Their 2006 premiership side would not have beaten Cobdogla's 2006 premiership side and with what they served up last year they would battle with Brown's Well for the spoon.

There has been whisperings of infighting in the last 12 months that will have to disappear for this move to succeed.

The wild card for them is that 2009 is their centenary year.

By the measure of your confidence Bum Crack, Ramco are recruiting Waikerie A graders and have former players returning.

If that is the case then of course they will make the finals.

There is not a lot of difference between the RIFL and MMFL. If they are a top four team in MM then it stands to reason they will be top four in RI. Last year they did not make the finals in MM and that same team in 2009 will struggle to make finals in RI.

Some history shows that teams that change leagues, often do very well in their first year. May not be the case here, but you never know. (if the move takes place.)

The travel will work in their favour as most teams in Independents dont travel far. Hypothetically first semi final at Paringa against Lyrup may work against them.

I did hear they have to change their colours - Black, White & Thiel maybe.

Wouldn't have a clue who they are going to recruit, just reckon they are a top 4 team in independent footy. I guess we'll have to just wait and see.

They lost a shite load of players to Waikerie last season for the Centenary celebrations.
Will they get them back?

Pittaway among them?

I agree here, but apart from Cobby arent all the other indy clubs South of the river????

the reflex wrote:hear the RFL are programming an RFL b grade vs independent game to compliment Nth vs Sth of the river match for centenary. Not sure what you blokes think but, as entertaining as that match might be I dont see what it will acheive (apart from bums on seats) - surely a Nth vs Sth indy game or something might be better.
The combined RFL B grade side would look like an A grade team.
