I hear Barmera Monash have got some cash and are looking for somewhere to put it

Jervois footy club must have found a money tree at the bottom of someone's garden.
They are offering $500 a game to anyone and everyone in Div 1 SAAFL they can get to talk to!

whats new mate jervois have paid good money across the board the last 5 years, though money bags $am Mahoney tends to like the ex south adelaide players
who ever thought of the saying winning isn't everything, probably lost!!

mentioned this on a thread that was removed, heard some office gossip from a guy at a div 2 club that they want to stay down, dont believe they have the rescources to be competitive in div 1. like i said only heard it as office gossip from a guy at an opposing div 2 club, but if it is true.............. surley the league will never ever allow a grand finalist to not move up, regardless of circumstances?

This rumour was going around a long time ago. Someone from SHOCs has said it's not true on here.

A Ggrand finalist has the option to stay down if one of the bottom two from the division above is willing to stay up.

You can't exercise this option two years in a row.

well regardless of SHOC stance would love to know what people think on this? surely if you make a grand final you must go up, the entire league is designed on this basis, why play in a league with divisions if you have no ambition of going higher?? if you make a grand final and cant get backing to support a climb then you never will, and are better off playing in the southern league!!!!

thought this had been put to bed, but they will defintley be playing in Div 1 and was never discussed otherwise! Maybe by Broadview though...

know that wasnt the main crux of the post, but they have nominated for Div 1 - end of story.

Greenacres having a big drive on Div 1 & 2 players, tried to get 3 from TTG in one hit.
I wonder if North Adelaide are aware of their $64K per annum donation being thrown around town like it is.

Turk, are you out there somewhere? Of course you wont confirm it but at least make a comment!
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

A whisper last night aswell Districts have recruited a few from Mildura, a full forward is one of them, does anyone know more?

Is Christofis sticking with the pies? I heard he's sniffing around the traps so he can open a new $$$$ bank account $$$$, if Districts think they have him i'd get him signed quickly.

You wont lose out of recruiting blokes from Mildura, very good and tough league. I would not beleive the rumours about SHOC, do you honestly beleive a top 5 div 2 side not wanting to go up to the best league in SA outside the SANFL. Some blokes talk sh** and some other blokes are suckers sorry to say.......

Christofis has signed with districts. Think he may have been sniffing around but has decided to stay, he got a job on the wharf too. Not sure about the Mildura boys, will find out about that.

Has Halliday definitely departed Lads?? Big Loss for the Hawks if true, but if Butler was to join would certainly ease the pain.

Expect Culpitt to have some mates join him at TTG......Kersbrook's 2008 Premiership CHF should also be lining up for the Red and Blacks next season.

I didn't think Culpitt had too many mates!
Doubt they'd pay anywhere near what Kersbrook pay their top players so what is the attraction?
