1 willunga - team of the decade. has the chance to equal victors 6 in a row in the 90s
2 langhorne creek - copped injuries at wrong time in 08
3 strath - need a bit more testicular fortitude to go with the talent
4 yank - this team had some grunt in 08 - hopefully Kossie and friends aren't too big a loss.
5 EB/VH - depends which one hodge plays for.

Willunga - will continue their amazing run

Strathalbyn - if they keep their list and pick up a couple will push Willunga

Langhorne Creek - with a full list can be dangerous

McLaren - my surprise packets, will sneak into 5 but not go too far in finals but are big improvers next year

Mt Compass - great bunch of blokes who always give 100% and will do so again in '09'

This is hard for me... as although I've watched the teams all year I don't know that much about everyone elses A grade... but I'll give it a go O:)

Can we do the same for the juniors perhaps :D

1) Willunga - They've just 'got it'
2) Strathalbyn - Young talent coming through to help out
3) Langhorne - Always around the mark
4) Compass - Young side, great club, great focus
5) McLaren - Lots of enthusiasm, rebuilding stage, lots of young talent coming through and already there to develop, mature footballers as well to help the coaches out and guide these young guys through.

O:)

Willunga will be hard to beat again next year making for a very interesting off season for some clubs to reach that higher standard..
Hammsy= goal kicking machine and they have alot of depth that just creates for a strong up and coming few years not just next year.

1 - Willunga - Are the benchmark and will push for a 6th straight premiership
2 - Strath - need some ticker in pressure situations, but have the talent to take it to willunga
3 - Langhorne Creek - you can never count the creek out, are a proud club and demand success
4 - Enc Bay - with all this talk of the bays i look forward to seeing how they go in 09, but must be consistent
5 - Compass - always around the mark, couple big targets around the ground and have some quality on ballers

Mr Goodkat
Willunga Joined the GSFL in 1986
Before that spent 99 years in the SFL

If they did win 6 in a row it would have been in the SFL
Cheers

Willunga/Strath/Creek
Compass
EB

But not Mclarens. To make the 5 next year would be an amazing effort.

Mr Goodkat,

I'll think you'll find Willunga won 5 in a row up until 1953 when wheels fell off under coach Horrace Haskett. They then won another 3 after Horrace "The Horse" was sent to the glue factory. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Regards,

Grape Ape.

correct GA, Willunga did indeed win 5 in a row, 1948-52, under Horrace Haskett, but then the wheels did indeed fall off as u have stated in 1953, which did indeed lead to Horace being sent to the glue factory, a scandal of monstrous proportions at its time has left the haskett family under a curse that still haunts them to this day... in particular the grandson of horrace, he is been cursed as he is a yeti living among mere mortals!!

they also did go onto win 3 more in a row between 1954-56!!
