THanks AA.,
I'm looking forward to limping around on a sunday for the 1st time in 4 and a half years.,
Havent played cricket at the super bowl since colts so that should be fun playing on a saucer.

Patto better have some vic bitters chilled for me.
I'm already in need of replenishment just thinking about playing.

I am officially in 3 pieces at the moment.
Very sore but glad it was only 60 overs.
Mole Kinnear made a ton on the superbowl and almost needed a drip containing an amber colour afterwards.,

B.Haines also took 4 for Morphies.
Does anyone know who made the runs in Cove's 300-plus at Seaford

Myer shield this year at Kangaroo Island??
If so I hope that all get behind the concept as the last few years have been embarrassing to say the least with players that would struggle to play A grade let alone be selected in an elite side! I can hear it now and agree that these guys put there hand up but I beleive the association should come down hard on players that do not make themselves avaliable unless they have a resonable argument. They should at least train when asked and make a contribution and if they cant play at least they have had some involvement.
I dont know who is running the side this year (Paul Kinnear/Frushy/Patto?) but we need to get organized now and bring some respect back to playing association cricket.

Good to hear LK the Big Dog has some freakish talent at both footy and cricket he just lacks confidence. What about Larry Hanson how has the ball been coming out? I know he has worked hard on his toppie and wrongun in the off season!

On a serious note heard that he has been moved down the pecking order to 3rd change bowler. That is a disgrace the captain needs to pull his head of ass he is one of the best bowlers in the s.c.a. I know plenty of Cove batsmen were relieved to be facing the donkeys Porties served up before him in the first game. At least Larry makes the batsmen play.

Shoe Boy, I totally agree with you on this one, however some of the better players do not want to play with a senior member of the side. I for one loved playing for the SCA and put any issues I had with rival players aside to play association. You actually get more respect by playing association and it's good having beers after the games and getting to know your opposition players a bit better.

What about throwing a few names around for a squad?
COVE
S Comer
M Thomas
D Thomas
Sloney
S Titterson
B Kinnear
M/Vale
S Carlton
S Byrne
Kangarilla
M Thorpe
M Houghston
SEAFORD
R Allard
D Ross
A Bubner
NOARLUNGA
J Edwards
T Bahr
S Hodgeman
J Scarfe
PT NOARLUNGA
M Boes
B Nicholas
AJ Burgess
M Nankervis
S Brown
Sorry if I have spelt any names incorrectly or have left anyone out but it is just my thoughts and am sure a side from this squad would do the SCA proud :)
PS not being biased but if Jason Peach keeps playing and batting with the form he has shown in training and in the B grade he would be a very handy in.

I know of about 5 possibly 6 guys in this squad that will not play due to personality clashes with another squad member. Peachy's number aren't that good in Myer Shield games.

Thanks Hound but this is why you train together and have a couple of quite one's and break down barriers.
We all have perseptions of people and it is when you get together with someone that your oppinion may change. I will give you an example. I loved to play against Travis when he was at the Cove and had a perseption that he was an arrogant big headed prick but as time goes on I changed that perseption and you will find he is one of the better lads that I have got to know. He is just one of the lads who loves a beer and a good time like all of us but when he steps onto the field he is a competitor and plays to win.
