If so I hope that all get behind the concept as the last few years have been embarrassing to say the least with players that would struggle to play A grade let alone be selected in an elite side! I can hear it now and agree that these guys put there hand up but I beleive the association should come down hard on players that do not make themselves avaliable unless they have a resonable argument. They should at least train when asked and make a contribution and if they cant play at least they have had some involvement.
I dont know who is running the side this year (Paul Kinnear/Frushy/Patto?) but we need to get organized now and bring some respect back to playing association cricket.

Shoe Boy, I totally agree with you on this one, however some of the better players do not want to play with a senior member of the side. I for one loved playing for the SCA and put any issues I had with rival players aside to play association. You actually get more respect by playing association and it's good having beers after the games and getting to know your opposition players a bit better.

What about throwing a few names around for a squad?
COVE
S Comer
M Thomas
D Thomas
Sloney
S Titterson
B Kinnear
M/Vale
S Carlton
S Byrne
Kangarilla
M Thorpe
M Houghston
SEAFORD
R Allard
D Ross
A Bubner
NOARLUNGA
J Edwards
T Bahr
S Hodgeman
J Scarfe
PT NOARLUNGA
M Boes
B Nicholas
AJ Burgess
M Nankervis
S Brown
Sorry if I have spelt any names incorrectly or have left anyone out but it is just my thoughts and am sure a side from this squad would do the SCA proud![]()
PS not being biased but if Jason Peach keeps playing and batting with the form he has shown in training and in the B grade he would be a very handy in.
