7.40 = the estimated time at which i will arrive at said destination after finishing work and getting home from town. 7.30 would be a bit tight.

Good to see one or two come out for a run with me last night.
Very dissapointed PB.
Next run group will leave from corner of valour court and atlantis drive at 6pm ish tomorrow (Thursday) night. Another lazy 6km on the agenda before a 3km timtrial/testing session on saturday.
Anyone who is there saturday will have the oppurtunity for fully tailored programs rather than generic ones.

And if you know me well, this is a late start to my training.
If you look at peer reviewed research data of other elite athletes compared to footballers, AFL players aren't that special in terms of aerobic capacity. Obviously they are amazing compared to your average joe but i we could all be doing something extra to make ourselves healthier/fitter

Good onya for keeping yourself in good nick, I was mainly referring to the fact you seemed p!ssed off that others didn't have the same enthusiasm. Na, I'm sorry mate, I haven't really checked the "peer reviewed research data of other elite athletes" lately, it's on my to do list.

I've also heard that having a back that isn't broken is also fairly crucial ???

Yes but your anaerobic capacity is also highly determined by your VO2max.
Some reading on Maximum accumulated oxygen deficit (MAOD) will be much easier than me trying to explain it hear. Reading stuff by a guy named Medbø is probably the place to start. Understanding L1 and L2 onset in relation to maximal aerobic output also would be a good thing. Not having a dig at you at all. Its genuinley interesting stuff.

The beauty of football is its a sport where this a high demand on all energy systems. Although our athletes are not top end performers in any of the three categories, they are very good at what they do.

I better stop now before i give away all the GG preseason secrets

Not upset at all. I thought i started my post with a compliment to the one or two that came with me.

And i definatley was diggin at PB. If you knew him you would get the joke.

I as suggesting you go out of your way to read it. I thought i might have been interesting to enlighten you on a subject that i am passionate about and that you might not have much of an appreciation for. No harm done i didnt think.
